    A. Title: CLEAN-UP DRIVE: “OPLAN LINIS KANAL PARA SA MAAYOS NA


    KAPALIGIRAN”
    B. Target Date: October 14, 2022

    C. Target Venue: Barangay #10 Parparoroc, Vintar, Ilocos Norte

    I. Rationale
    Environmental sustainability helps prevent global-warming and climate
    change. One example of environmental sustainability is simply through cleaning.
    Cleanliness in the environment contributes a lot in maintaining a clean and green
    surrounding. Cleaning is a simple but helpful way of improving a healthy
    environment.
    Gutter is a depression running parallel to a road designed to collect rainwater
    flowing along the street and divert it into a storm drain. It alleviates water build-up on
    a street, allowing pedestrians to pass without walking through puddles and reducing
    the risk of hydroplaning by road vehicles.
    Every rainy season, some areas have experienced flood. This happened
    because of the different kinds of waste materials that stop the water to flow well.
    Therefore, the proponents of this project would like to conduct a clean-up drive
    specifically the cleaning of the street gutter or drainage to mitigate the times of
    clogging. This kind of program and project minimize its long term effect to the
    environment.

    This activity which is in lined to DepEd’s Core Values “Maka-Diyos, Maka-


    Tao, Makakalikasan at Makabansa. As educators, we are not only called to teach
    day’s lesson but reach out people and shine the light by serving a good example to the
    pupils and to the community. This activity promotes love and care for the
    environment and the people as well.
    Since we are still in the midst of Covid -19 pandemic, target participants will
    strictly follow health protocol such observing social distancing, as wearing face mask
    and observance of cleanliness.

    II. Objectives
    1. To make actions in mitigating the flooding at Barangay #10 Parparoroc,
    Vintar, Ilocos Norte;
    2. to remind the community about the value of cleaning the environment; and
    3. to enable every resident to contribute in preventing global warming and in
    beautification of the street

    ACCOMPLISHMENT REPORT

    CLEAN-UP DRIVE: “OPLAN LINIS KANAL PARA SA MAAYOS


    NA KAPALIGIRAN”

    Cleanliness refers to the state of being clean. It is something which


    must not be forced but encouraged. Cleanliness is a good habit which can
    enhance the quality of one’s life. Cleanliness of all kinds carries equal
    weight.

    Most importantly, parents and teachers must encourage this habit


    from early on kids. This will ensure that the awareness of cleanliness. It is
    not a tough task to complete, rather cleanliness is quite easy. One should
    never make the mistake of compromising with cleanliness. It is essential
    for the health and well-being of humans and animals.

    October 7, 2022, the Supreme Pupil Government conducted clean-


    up drive together with the teachers, pupils and parents.
