OBE SYLLABUS IN COMPENSATION ADMINISTRATION

A VISION : CNSC as a premier higher education institution in the Bicol Region.


B MISSION : The Camarines Norte State College shall provide higher and advanced studies in the fields of education, arts and
sciences, economics, health, engineering, management, finance, accounting, business and public administration,
fisheries, agriculture, natural resources development and management, and ladderized courses. It shall also
respond to research, extension, and production services adherent to progressive leadership towards sustainable
development.
C QUALITY AND ENVIRONMENTAL : We, at Camarines Norte State College, aiming to become a Premier Higher Education Institution in the Bicol
POLICY Region, are committed with utmost care of the environment in providing excellent services in instruction, research,
production and extension that are responsive to the satisfaction of our students and other stakeholders.
To achieve these, we shall implement an internationally recognized integrated management system in our
operations, processes and services and shall:
 comply with applicable statutory and regulatory requirements, the mandates of the College and relevant
needs and expectations of our students and other stakeholders, and the requisites of our quality and
environment management system;
 delight our students and other stakeholders by providing value-adding experiences to become well-
rounded and more competitive future leaders in the midst of global issues;
 protect the environment and prevent pollution by optimizing the use of electricity, paper, water and other
resources and adopt the safe and responsible methods of reduction, reuse, recycling and proper disposal
of wastes;
 provide our employees support to grow and achieve their full potential in their respective fields, thereby
sustaining a competent, motivated, engaging and environmentally conscious workforce;
 develop and extend innovative technologies to our stakeholders contributing to the country’s sustainable
development; and
 establish objectives aimed at improving the efficiency of our operations, processes and services for our
College growth and development.
We shall make this policy an essential part of our instruction, research, extension and production services to
ensure that it continuously provide us strategic directions in improving our overall quality and environmental
performance, and of our integrated management system.

G. COURSE DESCRIPTION : The course includes examination of theories, models, and procedures required to develop compensation and
reward system in organization. Economic, psychological and social elements of compensation. Determination of
compensation and reward, compensation levels, instructors and schedule.

Q. COURSE POLICIES :
A. Provision on The institution’s commitment to inclusive education: Recognizing that with the right support, CNSC has high hopes that all

 attend education and be welcomed;

 learn in a safe and supportive environment, free from bullying, discrimination or harassment;
 achieve academically and socially with reasonable accommodation and supports tailored to meet their learning needs;
and
 promote a culture and shared values that remove barriers and support inclusion.

B. On 1. The rating of attendance shall be based on the number of absences incurred. A perfect attendance shall be equivalent
Attendance to 100. For every absent incurred a demerit of 8 points shall be deducted from 100 and for every late or tardiness incurred a demerit
of 4 will be deducted. The total rating shall be the result of the combined application of demerits to absences and tardiness.
2. A student who has incurred absences of more than 20 percent of the required total number of class hours in a given
semester shall not be given credit and is considered “Dropped”.
3. Excused absences for official college business require the approval of the Dean. Excuses shall be valid for time missed
only.
4. A student who for unavoidable cause absents himself from classes must obtain an excuse letter from either the adviser
or the Dean to be presented to instructors / professors concerned not later than second class session following the return. In case
of illness where the absence is for five days, a medical certificate must be secured from the College Medical Service Clinic or from
government physician.

C. Course : 1. Completion of learning tasks and submission of outputs are expected to be on or before the due date.
Requirements 2. Performance tasks shall be graded using assessment rubrics; hence performance/outputs shall be based on the given
rubrics.

3. Student who missed an examination will be allowed to take a special examination only if there is a valid excuse letter
signed by the student’s parent or guardian. Students who missed the exam should take the said examination immediately
upon his/her availability. Five (5) points will be deducted for every day of delay. Students who are concerned about their
ability to succeed in the course should talk to the instructor as soon as possible.

D. On : Use electricity, paper, water and other resources wisely and practice proper waste disposal, including the 3 Rs of waste

2. Honesty and integrity (doing the right thing even when no one is watching) must be practiced at all times
F. Syllabus : Should there be unexpected events such as school activities, calamities, unfavorable weather conditions, pandemic, etc.,
Modification resulting in interruption of classes, the time allotment of the learning plan may be adjusted or modified.

In order for any student to pass the subject, he/she must obtain a grade of 3.00 or 75%. The failing grade is 5.00.
There shall be no tentative grade for the current rating period. The midterm rating is independent from the final term rating. The
weight of the midterm rating shall be 40%, and the weight of the final term rating shall be 60%. Hence, the computation of the
final grade (FG) shall be:

FG = (Midterm Rating x 0.40) + (Final Term Rating x 0.60)
