Table of Contents (One page)

1. Title of the Research

2. Introduction/Rationale

This section lays out your model defense and rationale for
your design. Write a clear statement describing the context of
the problem and the need to conduct the study. This may be based
upon your personal experience. Explain how the project relates to
the research literature with respect to (1) content and (2)
science processes involved. It situates your study within the
research by describing the current research findings and your
study will contribute to the field.

3. Objectives of the Problem

Summarize with a Statement of Problem or Purpose of Study.

Be sure to use the proper formation to cite the literature in the
body of the paper and in the reference list.

4. Review of Literature

5. Methodology

This section presents your methodology, including the

Research design, subjects, data analysis, timeframe, and
instruments used.
.

6. Results

This section provides details on the outcomes of your

research. Note: At this time you do not provide interpretation of
these outcomes. Usually, results are organized in tables or
graphs.
Statistics should be used to demonstrate correlations, to compare
groups, or to otherwise test your hypotheses. Make an appointment
with your instructor for guidance in reporting sample size and
statistical significance. Qualitative results may be included
here or presented under the discussion section.

8. Conclusion

This section provides your interpretation of your study.

Discuss the meaning of your results. Indicate whether the
hypotheses are accepted or rejected, and explain your decisions.
What did you learn? How will you teach differently? What other
questions do the results raise? What further studies should be
conducted? You might want to organize your thoughts under three
major categories: (1) implications for practice (what
teachers/students should do in the
Classroom), (2) implications for policy (what should we consider
doing as a state, nation, or group of science educators), and (3)
implications for research (what new/different studies should
be conducted, what action research should be conducted).
