SGB VA Course Technical Guide

1. How to make a Telegram link?


- Set your username first, open Settings → Edit → then you will see
“Username” section, see red arrow number 1 & 2
- Set your username (see red arrow number 3)
- After you finish create your username, click on the username section
and you will see the link on this page (see red arrow number 4)

2. How to make Whatsapp link?


Use https://wa.me/<number> where the <number> is a full phone number in
international format. Omit any zeroes, brackets, or dashes when adding the
phone number in international format.
Examples:

Don't use: https://wa.me/+62-(XXX)XXXXXXX

3. How to use Google Classroom


A. Desktop Version
How to start joining google classroom

1. Check your email for invitation to join a class from SGBVA


2. Once you click that it will lead you to google classroom web or app if
you have one

Google Classroom Class Main Page :


In this class main page, you can see 3 tabs :
● Stream : to see all activities about task assigned, task posted by
moderator, task submission, etc
● Classwork : to see list of your tasks per week with the due date
information and check your score/grade
● People : list of your teacher and teammates
Check task that was assigned to you :
When you have task that was assigned to you, you can check your email
(Picture 1) or you can check on the tab “To Do” in the Google Classroom left
sidebar (Picture 2-3)

After you click the “To Do” section, you will sew this page and you can see 3
tabs.
● Assigned : Tasks that was assigned to you
● Missing : Task that you were missing/you didn’t submit
● Done : Tasks that have been submitted
Check task information and do task that was assigned to you :
You can start doing your task by clicking “Open”at email notification, or go
to your “To Do” section and click the task that was assigned to you, then
you can choose.

As you can see, in the task detail page, you can see information about
the task.
Points and due date : you can check point and due date below the task
title “Take 3 Photos”, you will see 100 points and due Aug 16, 11:59 PM

If you want to start doing your task, click on “+Add or Create” on the right
side, at the “Your work” section. Choose how you want to submit, using
Google Docs, Slides, Sheets or Drawing. You can insert gdrive links or
another link and attach files as well.

This is an example if you want to submit using docs. After clicking “Docs”
you will be redirected into Google Docs. Do your task and after finish, you
can click “Turn In” (next to the “Share” button on the top right side)
After click “Turn In”, you will see this pop up, click “Turn In”

Your task info will change to “Unsubmit” in the “Your work” section

After submitting your work, you can’t change the document. If you want to
revise, click “Unsubmit” first and then re-submit again after finishing your
revision.

Check your total score/grade:


To check your score, go to the “Your Class Name” at the left sidebar. In this
case the “Group 1” tab.
After you click the “Group 1” you will see 3 tabs above (Stream, Classwork,
People). Click the “Classwork” section and you will be redirected to this
page. Click “View your work”, located above the list of your tasks.

You will see this page that shows your grade and points, grade is
calculated by total points earned by students. You can see all your task’s
points, including the missing task.

B. Mobile Version
Check task that was assigned to you
When you have task that was assigned to you, you can check your email or
you can check on the tab “To Do” in the Google Classroom left sidebar
(Picture 1-2)
After you click the “To Do” section, you will sew this page and you can see 3
tabs.
● Assigned : Tasks that was assigned to you
● Missing : Task that you were missing/you didn’t submit
● Done : Tasks that have been submitted

Do task that was assigned to you


Open and work on files you own in Google Docs, Slides, Sheets, and
Drawings and then attach them to your assignment.
1. Tap Classroom
2. Tap the class > Classwork > the assignment.
3. On the Your work card, tap Expand
4. To attach an item:
● Tap Add.
● Tap Drive , Link , File , Camera , or Record video

5. Select the attachment or enter the URL and tap Select.


Note: You can attach or create more than one file.
6. Tap Turn In and confirm. The assignment status changes to Turned in.
4. How to use Google Docs
A. Desktop Version
Create a file
1. Sign in to your Google account. If you don’t have a google account you
can sign up first
2. On your Android phone or tablet, open docs.google.com
3. In the bottom right, tap Create (+)
4. Choose whether to use a template or create a new file. The app will
open a new file.

View a file
You can view files that you’ve created or opened on any device and other
documents like Microsoft® Word, Excel, or PowerPoint files.

Tip: If someone else is working on the file, you’ll see the changes they're
making.

Look at a file
To open and view a file, tap the file’s name in the Google Docs, Sheets, or
Slides app.

View files grouped by category


1. On your Android phone or tablet, open the Google Docs, Sheets, or
Slides app.
2. In the top left, tap Menu .
3. Choose which files you want to see:
4. Recent: Files you’ve worked on recently.
5. Shared with me: Files others have shared with you.
6. Starred: Files you’ve marked as important.
7. Offline: Files stored on your phone or tablet.

Rename a file
1. On your Android phone or tablet, open the Google Docs, Sheets, or
Slides app.

2. On the file you want to rename, tap More .


3. Tap Rename .
4. Enter the name you want.
5. Tap Ok.

Save a file
When you're online, Google automatically saves your changes as you type.
You don't need a save button.
​ hile offline, changes will save to your device as you enter text, and will

save to Drive once reconnected.

Tip: On Google Sheets, you need to tap outside of the cell you're typing in
to save.

Make a copy of a file


1. On your Android phone or tablet, open the Google Docs, Sheets, or
Slides app.

2. Next to the name of the document you want to copy, tap More .
3. Tap Make a copy .
4. Enter a title and choose where to save it.
5. Tap Ok.

Download a copy of your file


1. On your Android phone or tablet, open the Google Docs, Sheets, or
Slides app.

2. On the file you want to download, tap More .


3. Tap Download . The file will download onto your phone and you’ll see
a notification message.

B. Mobile Version

Download the Google Docs app


1. On your phone or tablet, open the Google Play app .
2. Find the Google Docs app .
3. Tap Install.

Create a File
1. On your device, open the Google Docs, Sheets, Slides, or Sites app.
2. In the bottom corner, tap Create .
3. Choose whether to use a template or create a new file. The app will
open a new file.

View a file
Look at a file

To open and view a file, tap the file’s name in the Google Docs, Sheets, or
Slides app.

View files grouped by category


1. On your phone or tablet, open the Google Docs, Sheets, or Slides app.
2. In the top left, tap Menu .
3. Choose which files you want to see:
○ Recent: Files you’ve worked on recently.
○ Shared with me: Files others have shared with you.
○ Starred: Files you’ve marked as important.
○ Offline: Files stored on your phone or tablet.

5. How to Upload Files and Folders to Google Drive
A. Desktop Version
You can upload, view, share, and edit files with Google Drive. When you
upload a file to Google Drive, it will take up space in your Drive, even if you
upload to a folder owned by someone else.

Types of files: documents, images, audio, video.

Create a file
1. On your computer, open a Google Docs, Sheets, Slides, or Forms home
screen.
2. Click Create .

You can also create a document from a template.

Save a file

​ hen you're online, Google automatically saves your changes as you type.

You don't need a save button.
​If you aren't connected to the Internet, you can set up offline access to save
your changes.
​Once offline access is turned on, changes will save to your device as you
enter text, and will save to Drive once reconnected.

Tip: To save in Google Sheets, click outside of the cell you typed in.

View a file

To view files that you’ve created or opened on any computer and other
documents like Microsoft® Word, Excel, or PowerPoint files:

1. On your computer, open a Google Docs, Sheets, or Slides home screen.


2. Click the document, spreadsheet, or presentation you want to view.
3. Tip: If you share your file with someone else, you’ll get their changes as
they make them.

Rename a file

When you create a new document, spreadsheet, or presentation, it's


automatically named “Untitled document,” “Untitled spreadsheet,” or
“Untitled presentation.” To rename the file:

1. Click the name at the top of the file.


2. Type a new name.
3. Press Enter.
Tip: If you shared your file with someone else, you’ll get their changes as
they make them.

Make a copy of a file


1. On your computer, open a Google Docs, Sheets, Slides, or Forms home
screen.
2. Open the file you want to make a copy of.
3. In the menu, click File Make a copy.
4. Type a name and choose where to save it.
a. If you want to copy comments from a document, spreadsheet, or
presentation, click Copy comments and suggestions. You can choose to
include resolved comments and suggestions in your new copy.
5. Click Ok.

Download a copy of a file


1. On your computer, open a Google Docs, Sheets, Slides, or Forms home
screen.
2. Open a document, spreadsheet, or presentation.

3. At the top, click File Download.


4. Choose a file type. The file will download onto your computer.
5. Tip: To download a large Google Docs file as a .pdf file on Chrome:
6. On your computer, open a Google Doc.
7. At the top, click File Print.
8. At the left, next to "Destination," select Save as PDF.
9. At the top, click Save.

B. Mobile Version
Open the app
After you download the apps from Google Play, on your device find and
open the Google Drive app Google Drive icon. In "My Drive," you’ll see:

Upload & view files


1. On your phone or tablet, open the Google Drive app.
2. Tap Add .
3. Tap Upload.
4. Find and tap the files you want to upload.
5. View uploaded files in My Drive until you move them.
6. How to Share files from Google Docs and Google Drive
A. Desktop Version
Share with specific people
1. Select the file you want to share.
2. Click Share or Share .
3. Enter the email address you want to share with.
4. To decide what role people will have on your file, select Viewer,
Commenter, or Editor.
5. Choose to notify people.
a. If you want to notify people that you shared an item with them, check
the box next to Notify people. If you notify people, each email address
you enter will be included in the email.
b. If you don't want to notify people, uncheck the box.
6. Click Send or Share.

Allow general access to the file


You can choose if your file should be available to anyone or restricted to
only the people with access. If you allow access to anyone with the link,
your folder won't restrict who can access it.

1. Select the file you want to share.


2. Click Share or Share .
3. Under “General access”, click the Down arrow .
4. Choose who can access the file.
5. To decide what role people will have with your file, select Viewer,
Commenter, or Editor.
6. Click Done.

Share a file publicly


1. Select the file you want to share.
2. Click Share or Share .
3. Under “General access” click the Down arrow .
4. Choose Anyone with the link.
5. To decide what role people will have, select Viewer, Commenter, or
Editor.
6. Click Copy link.
7. Click Done.
8. Paste the link in an email or any place you want to share it.
Note: People who aren't signed in to a Google Account show up as
anonymous animals in your file.

B. Mobile Version

Share a single file


1. On your device, open the app for Google Drive, Docs, Sheets, or Slides.
2. Next to the file’s name, tap More .
3. Tap Share.

Share multiple files


To share multiple files from your phone or tablet, add files to a folder and
share the entire folder.

Share with specific people

1. On your Android device, open the Google Drive app.

2. Select the file you want to share Share .


3. Enter the email address you want to share with.
4. Decide how people can use your file. Select Viewer, Commenter, or
Editor.
5. When you share your folder, each email address gets an email.
a. Optional: Add a message to your notification email.If you don’t want to

notify people, tap More Don't notify people.


6. Tap Send.

Allow general access to the file

1. Open the file you want to edit.


2. Tap Manage access.
3. Under “General access," tap Change.
4. Choose who can access the file.
5. To decide what role people will have with your file, select an option.
a. Select whether or not people can find the file in search results.
6. Tap Back.

Share a file or folder publicly


1. Select the file you want to share.
2. Tap Share or Share .
3. Under “General access,” tap Change.
4. Select Anyone with the link.
5. To decide what role people will have with your file, select an option.
6. Tap Copy link.
7. Tap Back.
8. Paste the link in an email or any place you want to share it.
