Nowadays the way many people interact with each other

has changed because of technology. In what ways has
technology affected the types of relationships that
people make? Has this been a positive or negative
development?

In modern day, advanced technology has drastically

changed the way people communicate and connect with the
appearance of social media platforms, messaging apps, and
video conferencing software. This essay will prove that while
technology provided people with an easier way to communicate
with people from far away, this shift in communication method
might negatively impact the kinds of relationships people form.
To begin with, modern technology has changed the mode of
communication from offline to online by providing easy-to-access
tools to stay in tough with each other. Social media networks such
as Facebook, Twitter, and Instagram allow users to join groups
and communities, engage in discussions, meet new people, or
stay connected with long-distance acquaintances. For example, a
recent Facebook survey revealed that approximately 67% of
respondents preferred communicating via social media rather
than face-to-face even with family members.
However, this seems to be more of a negative development
since people can rely too much on online communication and
neglect their real-life relationships. This can lead to a lack of
intimacy and emotional connection, ultimately contributing to
feelings of loneliness and isolation. Furthermore, social media
platforms can create a false sense of closeness, where
individuals feel like they know someone well through their posts
and updates, but may not have had a meaningful conversation in
months or even years. A 2022 Pew Research study found that
nearly 60% of respondents reported that social media platforms
had distracted them from real-life relationships, and 35%
confessed to rarely having meaningful conversations with their
parents.
In conclusion, technology has changed the way people
communicate and connect with each other, altered human
relationships from offline to online, leading to a decline in face-to-
face interactions, creating a false sense of closeness and
potentially impacting relationships negatively.

to show how modern technology has positively affected people
around the world.

technological development altered the old method of
communication from offline to online by offering a great amount of
online communication platforms. As a result, geographical
barriers have been broken, gaps between relatives and friends
who live far away from each other have been erased, helping
people to stay in touch, maintain relationships and make new
friends more easily.
For example, nowadays, a person in Vietnam can make
friends with people from other countries, stay in touch with friends
and relatives that they don’t have a chance to meet in person
regularly by using any of social media sites such as Facebook,
Instagram, Viber,… 
 Another significant advantage the development of
modern technology is that it has brought people a better and
more convenient life. Many people use the modern
communication method to seek employment from foreign
entrepreneurs or organizations since many international
companies utilize online platforms and turn them into a
recruiting site. Moreover, the modern mode of communication
benefited students in the way that they can receive lessons
from lecturers or take courses without having to go to school.
The development of modern technology has also connected the
world and grew the net between countries by Internet,
reducing troubles in solving global issues.
  To conclude, the new modern methods of interaction has
improved and tightened the relationships and bonds among
people, provided them an easier and more convenient life.
