DETAILED LESSON PLAN IN TECHNOLOGY FOR TEACHING

I. OBJECTIVE
At the end of the lesson 100% of the student should be able to attain at least 85% of
proficiency to:

1. Describe the nature and background of volleyball


2. Identify equipment’s and common faults in volleyball
3. Appreciate the benefits of volleyball

II. SUBJECT MATTER

VOLLEYBALL (history, equipment’s, and common faults)


MATERIALS: laptop, projector, speaker, visual aids
VALUES: understanding and cooperation
SKILLS: performing, executing, and knowing

Okay class! Let’s start our lesson for today about


volleyball are you ready to learn about this kind
sports?

Volleyball.

❏ Is an Olympic team sport in which two teams of
six players are separated by a net? Each team tries
to score points by grounding a ball on the other
team’s court under organized rues (FIVB)

Do you have any idea about the history of


volleyball?

HISTORY
On February 9, 1895, in Holyoke, Massachusetts
(USA), William g. Morgan, a YMCA physical
education director, created a new game called Sir we don’t have any idea about the sports

EQUIPMENTS

Volleyball Court: The playing surface area for


two team's competing against each other is called
the full court and the official full volleyball court
measurements are 59 feet by 29 feet by 6 inches.
These measurements are for both men's and
women's courts and is usually rounded up to 60
feet long by 30 feet wide.

JERSEY: The volleyball uniform consists of two


pieces according to the official rule book,
specifically. a jersey to cover your upper body
while playing. shorts also called spandex shorts to
cover your lower body while playing.
KNEE PADS: To protect meniscus and the
patella, or kneecap, while playing volleyball.

COMMON FAULTS

 Causing the ball to touch the ground outside the


opponent's court or without first passing over the
net

Catching and throwing the ball

 Double hit: two consecutive contact with the ball


made by the same player.

 Four consecutive contacts with the ball made by


the same team.

 Net foul: touching the net during play.

(After the discussion of common faults, I will play


another video clip about the common faults
