Basic information about Australia

Australia is the 6th largest (6e plus grand pays) country in the world, and the biggest country, divided into 6


States. It is located in Oceania, south of New Zealand.
The weather in Australia is rather (plutôt) hot : it’s diverse, tropical and temperate.
The Capital of Australia is Canberra, however the biggest city is Sydney, where you can find the Sydney Opera
House and the famous bridge.

There are 26 million people in Australia, as well as the aboriginals (indigenous people), this creates many
cultures. The official language is English, as the head of State is King Charles III.

There are many animals like : koala, kangaroo, snake, spider ,bat ,dingo , jellyfish , platypus , possum , shark ,
sheep , Tasmanian devil , Tasmanian tiger , emu , rabbit , kookaburra ( some are dangerous )

Places to visit and activities to do in Australia

In Australia:

• - We can do a safari.

• -We can visit the blue mountain

• - We can go canoeing in the waterfall

• - We can discover Sydney/ the desert / Daintree rainforest

• - We can go to Melbourne / Brisbane.

• - We can visit the Opera House

• - We can explore the Uluru national park (Ayers Rock)

• - Deep dive in the Great Barrier Reef.

• - We can explore Tasmania

• - We can go hiking, see kangaroo island.

• - We can tan (bronzé) on the beach (Bondi beach), build sandcastles, play volleyball, swim, surf, go jet-


skiing, and snorkel.
