In the depths of the Black Sea, you could expect to find lots of fish, crabs, and perhaps a few jellyfish.
But what about human artists? It’s true. For an exhibition in the Ukraine, a group of painters put on
their scuba gear, collected canvasses and paints and dove to the bottom of the sea. They could only
stay there for about 40 minutes, using the time to paint beautiful pictures. But the surroundings are
challenging, especially because the colors look very different underwater from how they look on the
surface.

Modern technology has undoubtedly changed the way we live. In the past, a journey to a different
country could take months. Nowadays, businessmen and women are able to fly overseas for a meeting
in a matter of hours. Communication is now immediate and social media means that you have access
to thousands, if not millions, of people all over the world. American anthropologist Margaret Mead
said “ . . . people’s lives change so fast, that a person is born into one kind of world and grows up in
another.”
