May 28, down from 25 percent the subsequent week, Guido David said. Christian

R1 Chris: On May 29, 2023, the national COVID-19 positivity rate slightly
dipped to 22 percent, as the Department of Health reported, with 1,385 new cases,
of which 432 were recorded in Metro Manila. “Projection of cases for Wednesday
is 800 to 900,” said Octa Research Guido David. As of May 29, the DOH’s
COVID-19 tracker reports the country’s total cases at 4 million with 15,621 active
cases, 4 million recoveries, and 66 thousand deaths. Back to you, anchors.

Barangay 42, Quarry District in Makati City. Picollo Reinmel Ruiz will give us the

R2 Picollo Reinmel: Senior Fire Officer Duran, said they were still conducting an
investigation to determine the cause of the fire. “The fire spread so fast because
most of the structures were made of light materials,” he said in a phone interview.
The fire that started at 1:17 p.m. and put out at 2:32 p.m. destroyed at least 49
houses. City Mayor Alfred Romualdez immediately ordered the City Social
Welfare and Development Office to provide for the needs of the victims, such as
food and hygiene kits. Many of the fire victims were temporarily housed in their
covered court while the rest stay with their relatives. Back to studio.

defying condemnations from governments, businesses and human rights activists.

more than 30 African countries, but the new law goes further in targeting LGBT
and queer people. It imposes the death penalty for so-called aggravated
homosexuality, which includes having gay sex when HIV-positive, and a 20-year
sentence for “promoting” homosexuality. Museveni had sent the original bill. A
coalition of international companies, including Google, criticized the legislation,
warning it would put those with operations in Uganda in an impossible position

R4 Neil John: The longest-running noontime show “Eat Bulaga” has a new set of
hosts, but some of them may probably need to wear nameplates, Senator JV
Ejercito said on Monday. There are same reactions to viewers who watched the
new “Eat Bulaga” rolled out by TAPE Inc. following the departure of its original
hosts, Tito and Vic Sotto, and Joey de Leon, as well as the show’s other mainstays.
The new hosts introduced were Paolo Contis, Legaspi twins, Betong Sumaya and
Buboy Villar. Some also commented on how the show seemed to be a poor
