    It was confirmed by the Philippine National Police during the meeting of the Bicol Regional Peace and Order Council (BPROC).

    According to the Regional Operations Division Chief Supt. Adelio Castillo there are 760 interval crime incidences lower, as compared to the same period last year Castillo said that physical injury, theft and robbery were the most dominant crimes committed. And in statistics, Albay had the highest crime incidents, followed by Masbate and Catanduanes registered the lowest cases. Meanwhile, the PNP will be recruiting 327 new policemen to further boost the police visibility in identified crime prone areas. Two Jail Officials and a Prisoner Killed Two jail officials and a prisoner was killed by inmate in Palanas, Masbate last Tuesday evening. According to the initial investigation of Masbate Police, it was around 6:30 in the morning when the suspect Rommel Padailap strike the head of two jail officers and his inmate by a firewood. The victims were identified as Jail Officer 2 Julius Cervantes, Senior Jail Officer 1 Rene Danao and the inmate Romeo Puson. Cervantes and Puson were declared dead on arrival in Cataingan District Hospital. Senior Jail Officer 4 Salustiano Fuentes III said that the town police were not able to respond immediately due to the quick escape of the suspect and other inmates. Meanwhile, the elements of Police and Jail Management ordered hot pursuit to track down the escapes. And that is the news details for the todays top headline. For todays WEATHER UPDATE.     At 2:00 p.m. today, a Low Pressure Area (LPA) was estimated based on satellite and surface data at 1,180 km East of Luzon. Southwest Monsoon affecting Luzon and Visayas. Luzon and Visayas will experience occasional rains becoming frequent over the Western section of Luzon which may trigger flash floods

    and landslides while Mindanao will be partly cloudy to cloudy with isolated rain showers or thunderstorms. Moderate to strong winds blowing from the Southwest will prevail over Luzon and its coastal waters will be moderate to rough. Elsewhere, winds will be light to moderate coming from the Southeast to Southwest with slight to moderate seas. Legazpi will be expecting heavy rains until Friday with lightnings and thunderstorms. Governor Joey Sarte Salceda announces preemptive evacuation to landslide and flood prone areas. The sun rise at 5:47 am and will set at 6:28 this evening.
