Drill on the alliteration in the poem e.g. Mad Mickey, Fat Fred
Pupils brainstorm adjectives that start with the same letter as their first name
e.g.

Pupils take turns to talk about their names and adjectives. (HOTS)

Post-lesson:-
Each pupil gets a race template. (See Appendix 1)
Pupils fill out the race template with adjectives using the first letter of their
