    The Zanjera Pasuquin Communal Irrigators Association held their regular board meeting on July 14, 2020. The 11 board members present discussed and passed Board Resolution No. 01-2020. This resolution requests that the NIA Administrator donate 20 additional water pumps to the Association to help farmers during drought seasons. The pumps would benefit the 3000 farmers and 300 hectares of farmland serviced by the irrigation system. The Association currently lacks funds to purchase these pumps themselves.

    BOARD RESOLUTION NO. 01-2020

    A RESOLUTION REQUESTING HON. RICARDO R. VISAYA, NIA ADMINISTRATOR


    THRU ENGR. DANILO V. GOMEZ, MSME, DIVISION MANAGER A, HEAD-ILOCOS
    NORTE IRRIGATION MANAGEMENT OFFICE TO DONATE 20 UNITS ADDITIONAL
    FARM EQUIPMENTS (KUBOTA WATER PUMP) TO BE USE DURING DROUGHT
    SEASON IN OUR ZANJERA FOR THE BENEFIT OF ALL FARMER-MEMBERS
    COVERING 300 HECTARES OF FARMLAND IN THE ZANJERA.

    WHEREAS, the Association needs to acquire basic facilities such as water


    pumps to increase the production and alleviating the meager income of farmers;
    WHEREAS, the Association has about 3000 farmers that will directly benefit
    from the machineries to cover 300 hectares of farmland;
    WHEREAS, the Association has no adequate funds for the procurement of such
    machineries for the Zanjera;
    NOW THEREFORE, on motion of PB Marcos Agudelo, duly seconded, it was;
    RESOLVED, AS IT IS HEREBY RESOLVED to request Hon. Ricardo R. Visaya,
    NIA Director thru Engr. Danilo V. Gomez, MSME, Division Manager A, Head-Ilocos
    Norte Irrigation Management Office to donate 20 units additional farm equipments
    (Kubota Water Pump) to be use during drought season in our Zanjera for the benefit of
    all farmer-members covering 300 hectares of farmland in the Zanjera;
    RESOLVED FINALLY, that copies of this resolution be furnished to the Offices
    concerned.
    UNANIMOUSLY APPROVED.
