Drawing Instruments- are materials and tools needed and used to create a virtual art.
E. Presentation / Discussion
1. Drawing Board
Based on the given picture, what do you think is Drawing board is used as a desk where paper is
the use of this instruments? placed for drawing.
Right! Drawing board is a smooth board usually a
rectangle in shape provided with perfectly
straight edge which is used as working edge on
which the T-square is moved while making
drawings.
It is also called drafting table typically used for
drawing art or technical drawing, and it is also
used by artist, architects, and engineers.
2. T-Square
This is a sample picture of t- square. It looks like It is use as a guide in drawing a lines ma’am.
what?
Yes absolutely it is a ruler but in T-shaped. So,
what do you think is the use of this drawing
instrument?
Good job! A T-square is a tool used in technical
drawing, primarily as a guide for drawing straight
horizontal lines on a drafting table. It can also be
used in conjunction with a set square to draw
vertical and angled lines.
T- square consist of two parts; the stock, and the
blade joined together at right angles to each other
by means of screws. The stock is made to slide
along the working edge. T- square used to draw
parallel lines, vertical lines or inclined lines at 30
or 60 degrees.
4. Set Squares
5. Protractor
Yes ma’am.
6. Drawing Pencils
7. Compass
Yes/No ma’am.
It is used in making circles or half circle ma’am.
Yes ma’am
Drawing pins and clips are used to fasten items
to a wall or board.
