Picture Prompt

Direction: Identify and describe the pictures below. Explain your descriptionabout
the pictures

As we can observed in the picture, we could see three people

helping each other in completing a certain task. The picture
manifests amiability because we can infer that there are things
that we can't do alone. This made us think that what the picture is
trying to say is that there is really a power in a group of people
that work together towards a shared goal.

The picture shows a boy doing online class. He is maybe browsing

with the internet searching about a particular topic, and typing
something an essay or a chat. If we view it in the academic
setting, the picture portrays the incorporation of the information
and communication technologies(ICT) to the education. In today’s
setting, one of the main medium of education for college students
is the online class. The students could interact with their teachers
and classmates via online. Also, with the use of internet the
students could also learn in the different websites they can browse
online. On the other hand, there are some negative effect of the
online class setting. Many students did not proceed college due to
lack of materials needed if they enrolled (example: laptop,
computer, mobile phones, internet or mobile data).

A girl reading or studying in a peaceful environment. We can see

the smile in her face which we may say that she really enjoys
reading her book. We can relate with this situation now that we
are attending online classes. Having a peaceful environment
would make us to focus on the things what our teacher discusses.
During asynchronous class where we will read our module given
by the teacher, it is important to have this environment. If the
environment is too loud, noisy or too distracting our focus will be
gone, we cannot concentrate studying. Though we read our
module but there is no learning happen, we just read and don’t
comprehend.
The picture depicts a girl molding a clay. The enjoyment she gets
from this activity is obviously shown on her face. We could say
that molding a clay might sound like an easy task/activity, little
did we know that it requires an enormous amount of patience and
consistency, this is also the main reason why we are amazed by
how positive she is in responding to this kind of stimuli.

Let us Analyze

Guide Questions:
1. Based on your answer above, what do you think is the concept beingshown in
the pictures?
Generally, the picture depicts character of the teachers in its
profession and the proper expectations set on a classroom setting.

2. How are the pictures related to your role as a teacher?

Technically, the entire picture portrays different meaning. The first one
manifest amiability, second shows versatility, third emits stress-free learning
environment, and lastly capturing interest of the students. It is associated to
the role of the teachers as they are key factors to become school a happy place,
and ideally depicts the saying “school is the second home.”

3. As a future teacher, what are you going to do to equip students with learning
opportunities guided by the concepts you mentioned?

Teachers are highly associated with the word “patience”, as they are
primary image of every school. The philosophy of molding anything takes time,
so as student needs to be nurture for a given time. Showcase the love that
needs to be given to attain better results because actions out of love results
best students. Not all home are given the best treatment for every students, it is
one of the goals of teachers to give a heartwarming environment for learning.
As shaping students for the future, belongingness is to be considered. Do not
let students hate the life they are in, and include their choices that they will
regret afterwards. So it is necessary to capture the student’s best interest to
learn and to be more motivated.
Do this: Write a short advice letter to yourself on how to successfully provide
learning experiences to students guided by the Four Pillars of Learning.

In order to successfully provide learning experiences to students, we have to

apply and value the pillars of learning. We always have to think of the pillars of
learning as they guide us down the path of self-knowledge throughout our education.
It also aids in the development of our personalities in a significant way. We must
understand that Four Pillars of Learning helps a lot in terms of providing students
learning experiences as it provides quality education for everyone. As future teachers
also taking these four pillars will also help us provide quality education to my
students, it’s worth noting that the four pillars of teaching apply to all levels and
aspects of education. They should be used as basic principles, cross-cutting themes,
and generic competencies for integration in and across topic areas or learning
domains because they support and interpenetrate one another. If all teachers at all
stages of a child's life anchor their teachings to these four pillars of learning, it's not
impossible that we'll be producing productive and competitive citizens of the twenty-
first century and beyond, who will thrive in their lives and careers because they were
well prepared and developed holistically. Learning, indeed, is a treasure that no one
can obtain from a single person.

B. Today, I learned that the four pillars of education are useful in our
day-to-day life. These pillars make the basis of a good education. We
must consider these four pillars when we teach in the future. We need
to give our students the knowledge to gain the competencies they will
need in the future. We must provide them with the right tools needed
to recognize the world around them, exercise their memory, thought,
and attention. We must practice to them how to materialize what they
have in mind into actions. We must not only teach the lessons taught
in books but also lessons that would guide them in real-life situations
which include thinking rationally in decision making. Education is
more than just the grades that appear in our grading sheet because
real learning comes from applying what the mind learns. All of the
pillars allow us to form individuals that will be able to defend
themselves in a world that changes and will make them part of a
better world.
