    Statement of Purpose

    University : University of Hertfordshire, UK

    Course : MSc International Business

    Introduction

    My Name is Peter Jose, born and brought up in Ernakulam, Kerala. I belong to a


    middle class family where all the family members are generally following the
    family tradition of farming. I am the son of Mr. Jose T.P and Mrs.Elsy Jose.I did my
    senior secondary education from DePaul English Medium Higher Secondary
    School situated in my hometown in 2011 where my major was in commerce. By
    the year 2014, I have secured Bachelor of Commerce with Finance at Naipunnya
    Institute of Management and Information Technology, Pongam.

    Thereafter, I started working as an accountant at Chennatt Electricals Kochi till


    September 2017 which is one of the largest electrical and appliances showrooms
    in Kerala. Now I realized that the turning point of my life had happened on the
    onset of October 2017 where I started my career with DDRC SRL, India’s leading
    Diagnostics Company as a Marketing Officer. While working with the company I
    had an opportunity to enhance my knowledge far beyond what I had learned. I
    started to explore the different areas of medical diagnosis and its
    accuracy .Certainly it is a wide area to explore and improve the technology,
    efficiency in a short span.To broaden my spectrum, I would like to enroll in this
    course. I still pursue my objectives in day to day life to know more about it. 

    Why this Course

    As my maternal uncles political and business professions and my previous


    knowledge and experience has motivated me to boost my energy to become an
    entrepreneur, I would like to get my masters from a well reputable university like
    the University of Hertfordshire, a comprehensive university which is business -
    focused, research rich, professional university with a global reputation for
    academic excellence and impressive graduate prospects. The London campus is
    top choice for international students to build global, diverse and vibrant
    connectivity filled with faster - paced life.

    Producing highly employable graduates who are in demand for their knowledge,
    skills and competence is a priority at the University of Hertfordshire. Their high
    vocational content means graduates from the University of Hertfordshire are
    more 'work-ready' than many other graduates qualified in their area of expertise.

    Why Hertfordshire

    Studying at Hertfordshire University has many advantages. Hertfordshire


    University is the number one London Modern University. Hertfordshire University
    is dedicated to fostering equal opportunities, social development and personal
    wellbeing. They follow a range of initiatives to achieve and maintain high
    standards. As a result the community is constantly growing and improving.
    Hertfordshire University’s goal is to make the University a force for positive
    change: for students, staff, the city of London and the world.
    Many top community centres in India prefer employees who excel in both
    Service Managers and Communication skills. Keeping this thought in mind, I
    decided to do my higher education in an internationally recognized institute
    reputed with providing quality education. I learned from various sources that
    United Kingdom is a country that is known for providing great opportunities for
    international students in improving their academic qualifications. In my search
    for finding an appropriate institute in UK, I came across Hertfordshire University,
    which is offering a programme in Business. When I went through the website of
    this institution I was very well satisfied with the programme. It also includes
    discipline specialization studies. At the end of the course, this programme would
    provide me with the knowledge and competency required for the various roles
    that are vital for a career in social science and will strengthen my acumen in
    service management. I have also learned that upon completing this program, I
    may pursue other degree or professional qualifications either in India or abroad.
    Why UK

    The United Kingdom is one of the most globalized nations. It is also a friendly and
    safe country and among the few English speaking countries in Europe. A higher
    education qualification from the United Kingdom is recognized and respected by
    employers and academicians worldwide. The post graduate courses here are
    shorter compared to other countries which helps keep the cost of tuition fees and
    living expenses down. The United Kingdom is a truly multicultural society, with a
    great mix of people from different backgrounds. A wonderful environment is
    available to get to know people from all over the world and seek inspiration from
    many different cultures. This makes the United Kingdom a very attractive choice
    for higher education for international students. Taking into account all these
    factors, I am sure I will have a platform where I will be able to develop my
    managerial skills and exposure I have come across till now. 

    Future Plans

    Regarding my goals for the future, I plan to take what I learn in the U.K and apply
    it to the computing industry in my native country. This industry is rapidly growing
    and shows great potential, yet compared to other, more advanced countries it is
    still in its relative infancy. By studying PG program in the UK, I expect to have the
    expertise, the perspective, and the experience necessary to lead our industry to a
    new era. I also have many friends with similar goals, and I hope that we can one
    day collaborate to put our country on the map as an innovative force in the
    business world.

    After my Masters, I would like to continue as a top lever Manager for some couple
    of years and the starting salary in my country will be approximately 5 Lakh per
    Annum and later I will think about my own business. That’s why I am planning to
    start my career as the Manager. So that I can learn and gain more knowledge
    practically, about how achieve success. My career goal is to become a successful
    businessman like RATAN TATA (TATA GROUPS), AZIM H. PREMJI (WIPRO), ANAND
    MAHINDRA (MAHINDRA GROUP) in my country.

    Conclusion

    I believe that I am a true achiever, who has improved and enhanced my


    capabilities at each stage in life through hard work and practical knowledge. This
    has helped me emerge stronger and more capable. I sincerely admit that all
    written above is with the best of my knowledge and true. I will obey all rules of
    the university and country once I am there. I am a strong competitive candidate
    to be in your esteemed University. I am very sure I will excel and justify my
    selection. I hope the admission council will consider my application considering
    my positives and my recommendation letters from my senior professionals from
    work.
