STATEMENT OF PURPOSE

About me:
My name is Ahmed Abrar and I live in Lahore, Pakistan. I have completed my MSc in Information
Technology with 64% marks from one of Pakistan’s well-known and famous institution University of
Central Punjab Lahore. Currently, I am working as IT Manager in OLIGRO PAK. Now, I wish to complete
the Master’s degree in business and Management from University of Stirling as The global reputation
of the University of Stirling Management School attracted me to this course. The infrastructure, as well
as the knowledge and resources provided by the University, are fabulous for your overall
development.

Why this course:

After broad research on internet and according to my qualification I found the Master’s program in
Business Management at the University of Stirling is very sublime with a perfect course combination
as per my job requirement at current organization. The master’s program focuses on Responsible
Business, Global Perspectives on Human Resource Management and Leadership Communication,
International Accounting for Managers and Marketing Management.

These modules will help me to broaden my knowledge of business management areas on an


international level. On top of this, the various assessment methods will help me to develop my critical
thinking skills and enable me to gain valuable experience to use within the workplace. I am certain that
my chosen program is right for me and that possessing this degree would ensure career growth in my
current organization. This unique degree focuses on management, financial analysis, human resource
management and business analytics as well which is crucial for modern-day business world. Thus, I will
be in much demand of employers holding both skills of management and analytics. I will get to learn
core concepts of marketing, sales, e-business and project management as well. Thus, this is well-
rounded degree with lucrative jobs prospects in Business management world.

Career Aspirations:

Pakistan is a developing country, as government of our country is also offering jobs to highly skilled
graduates through their different and diverse programs with the expansion of businesses and
industrialization in Pakistan, projects like Green House, 10 billion tree, 5 Million homes, Punjab
Information Technology projects, E- Rozgaar, Smart monitoring and textile sector boom are indication
of this showing the bright future of this field. Graduates from U.K institute are highly sought after due
to the impressive international reputation of the U.K education system. Employers in Pakistan
recognize degrees from U.K institutes and prefer over local graduates in hiring at different roles and
in promotions or giving a top project.

After finishing my Master’s degree, I will have an opportunity to establish and further my career in my
current firm or any multinational company working in Pakistan with focus to Information technology
like Afiniti and Netsol and this degree will help me to lead my career to Head of international IT
business. I will be able to serve my country in different sectors at public organizations or at any NGO
as well. I will not only be fulfilling my career but will also play a role in the improvement of business
practices in Pakistan by taking the skills from abroad back to Pakistan. I aim to merit my degree,
practice it to perfection and return to Pakistan as a professional to serve my country and its people. I
am confident that if given the chance, with the world-class education provided by your university and
my strong determination to carve a path for my career, I will be able to build a future worthy of the
Stirling University name.
