    Man-ibay Elementary School in Misamis Oriental, Philippines implemented their Oplan Balik Eskwela (OBE) for the 2021-2022 school year with the theme of "Bayanihan Para sa Ligtas na Balik Eskwela". The school organized an OBE Public Affairs Command Center team to disseminate information to the community about OBE activities and objectives through flyers, posters, caravans, and social media. Enrollment drop boxes and a help desk were set up following health and safety protocols. Through these efforts, parents and guardians actively participated in the enrollment process, and the implementation of OBE at Man-ibay Elementary School was successful.

    Narrative on Oplan Balik Eskwela (OBE)


    S.Y 2021-2022

    Man-ibay Elementary School through the leadership of our active School in Charge Mrs. Jocelyn S.
    Abug Master Teacher I, together with the remarkable and diligent Teachers who are working together
    in participating the National Oplan Balik Eskwela (OBE) S.Y. 2021-2022 with the theme: “Bayanihan
    Para sa Ligtas na Balik Eskwela”.

    The school information officer attended the Division online training with Information
    Technology Officer on using the database system for monitoring issues and reporting purposes or the
    Information Ticketing System. The school, then prepared for establishing the plan for OBE
    implementation.

    Furthermore, the school based Oplan Balik Eskwela Public affairs Command Center was
    organized. The OBE PACC team led the teachers on disseminating information to the community
    where the school is located.

    Dissemination of information is done through making flyers and posters that were posted on
    stores and other public places, organizing a caravan and programs wherein Oplan Balik Eskwela
    activities and objectives were announced, sharing posts on social media specifically the FAQs
    (Frequently Asked Questions) and reaching out parents via text messaging, phone calls messenger
    chat and online posting. On the other hand, Enrollment drop boxes for Modified Learners Enrollment
    Survey Form (MLESF) were also provided for parents who do not have access on internet and social
    media. These were set up at the barangay hall as supported by the barangay officials. The School OBE
    coordinator also set-up a help desk in the School. All these are implemented through observing the
    minimum health standards to keep everyone’s safety against COVID -19.

    In addition, localized videos were also made and posted online, through the School Facebook account
    and page that promote awareness on OBE implementation and activities while following safety
    precaution on enrolling their pupils for the upcoming opening of classes.

    The implementation of Oplan Balik Eskwela of Man-ibay Elementary School had been
    successfully realized since parents and guardians were actively participating and eagerly come to
    school on time.
