Parameters
consecutive number;
Syntax
AAN: <consecutive number>;
Parameter explanations
consecutive number
Defines the alarm to be cancelled according to the consecutive number in the alarm
printout. This parameter is obligatory.
Examples
1. Cancel the alarm with consecutive number 1312.
AAN:1312;
A message waiting time-out has occurred. No response is received from the Network
element level alarm system program block (ULAPRB). Check the state of the alarm
database with MML command DBS and the active alarms with command AAP. Check
also the error messages in the computer log of the OMU using MML command DVL. If
this does not help you to solve the problem, contact your local Nokia Solutions and
Networks representative.
/*** ACCESS OF ALARM DATABASE FAILED ***/
/*** ERROR : ???? ***/
/*** error specific text ***/
The alarm system has failed to handle the alarm database (BAIDAT). The error is
specified with a number and an error specific text that tells you more about the problem.
Check the state of the alarm database with MML command DBS and the active alarms
with command AAP. Also check the error messages in the computer log of the OMU
using MML command DVL. If this does not help you to solve the problem, contact your
local Nokia Solutions and Networks representative.
/*** PROCESSING IN APPLICATION ALARM SYSTEM FAILED ***/
Issue: 02 DN99562989 7
The application alarm system has not managed to update its files or a time-out has
occurred during its internal processing. Check the state of the alarm database with MML
command DBS and the active alarms with command AAP. Also check the error messages
in the computer log of the OMU using MML command DVL. If this does not help you to
solve the problem, contact your local Nokia Solutions and Networks representative.
/*** ALARM GIVEN IS NOT ACTIVE ***/
The alarm with the given consecutive number is not active. Check the consecutive
number that you gave.
/*** ALARM SYSTEM BUSY ***/
The alarm system is temporarily overloaded. Wait a moment and enter the command
again.
The system may also output a general MML execution error message.

Parameters
alarm number: object type, object index, subobject type, subobject index;
Syntax
AAE: ([<alarm number> | <all> def]:
Parameter explanations
alarm number
Defines the alarm number of the alarm to be cancelled. The default value is all alarms.
object type
Defines the alarm object whose alarms are cancelled. The default value is all object
types.
Alarm object hierarchy consists of a maximum of five levels. The first object in the
hierarchy identifies the alarm object at the most general level. The next object in the
hierarchy is always a subobject of the preceding one. Thus, it increases the accuracy of
the object identification.
object index
Index of the object. The default value is all objects of the object type identified with
parameter object type.
subobject type
Defines the alarm subobject whose alarms are cancelled. In the alarm object hierarchy,
the subobject precedes the object or subobject given as the previous object in the
command parameters. If no value is given, only alarms with no subobjects are cancelled.
subobject index
Defines the index of the subobject. The default value is all subobjects of the subobject
type identified with parameter subobject type.
Examples
1. Cancel all alarms with the number 2004.
AAE:2004;
Issue: 02 DN99562989 9
2. Cancel all alarms with the number 2004 concerning object OMU.
AAE:2004:OMU;
3. Cancel all alarms concerning object NPS1P–0, SET-0.
AAE::NPS1P,0,SET,0;
The given object is not defined in the object model of the network element. Check the
object that you gave.
/*** UNDEFINED ALARM ***/
The given alarm number is not defined in the alarm system. Check the alarm number
that you gave.
/*** ACCESS OF ALARM DATABASE FAILED ***/
/*** ERROR : ???? ***/
/*** error specific text ***/
The alarm system has failed to handle the alarm database (BAIDAT). The error is
specified with a number and an error specific text that tells you more about the problem.
Check the state of the alarm database with MML command DBS and the active alarms
with MML command AAP. Also check the error messages in the computer log of the
OMU using MML command DVL. If this does not help you to solve the problem, contact
your local Nokia Solutions and Networks representative.
The system may also output a general MML semantic error message.
/*** ALARM SYSTEM BUSY ***/
The alarm system is temporarily overloaded. Wait a moment and re-enter the command.
/*** ACCESS OF ALARM DATABASE FAILED ***/
/*** ERROR : ???? ***/
/*** error specific text ***/
The alarm system has failed to handle the alarm database (BAIDAT). The error is
specified with a number and an error specific text that tells you more about the problem.
Check the state of the alarm database with MML command DBS and the live alarms with
command AAP. Check also the error messages in the computer log of the OMU using
MML command DVL. If this does not help you to solve the problem, contact your local
Nokia Solutions and Networks representative.
/*** PROCESSING IN APPLICATION ALARM SYSTEM FAILED ***/
10 DN99562989 Issue: 02
The application alarm system has not managed to update files or a time-out has
occurred during the cancelling process. Check the active alarms and the log writings of
the OMU. If some alarms are on concerning the problem, correct the fault as explained in
the operating instructions of these alarms and re-enter the command. If you cannot
correct the problem, contact your local Nokia Solutions and Networks representative.
/*** ALARM GIVEN IS NOT ACTIVE ***/
There are no active alarms with the given alarm number in the alarm system. Check the
alarm number that you gave.
The system may also output a general MML execution error message.
