Please be seated.

Thank you for that kind introduction and thank you for inviting me to speak today. I'm very pleased to be
here to join you in celebrating this wonderful occasion.

Let me give back the honor first to my Alma matter Himanag National High School, to the school head of this
school Sir Jimmy V. Tipono, Teachers and Staff and also to the parents, it would not be possible without your
support. So Good Morning and Congratulations for this event.

Today, I stand here with you to celebrate a milestone of achievement in the journey of your completion. I
would like to extend my warmest congratulations to the resilient and determined students of Himanag
National high School. It is with great pride and joy that we witness today your completion, a stepping stone
towards a bright future that awaits you in the next year of your education.

Before I start let me personally give thanks first to my previous teacher who is still here that molded me also
to become resilient din. To my Science teacher maam Ning, to my English teacher maam Mean and to my
math teacher sir Dennis. Thank you po!

As we celebrate your accomplishments, it is important to reflect upon transformative nature of our

educational system, specifically the K-12 program. This program has laid a foundation for your holistic
development, molding you into well-rounded individuals armed with right attitude, knowledge and skills or
the (ASK) necessary to navigate the challenges of the modern world. But the question is do we really
understand what K-12 stands for? What is the importance of this for the 21 st century learner? What the
difference ng mag-aaral noon sa mag-aaral ngayon.? Or for some it’s just a burden. Dagdag taon, dagdag
bayadan, dagdag contribusyonan. Imbes graduate na ang aki ko. Imbes graduate na ako. One time I did
home visitation and there was one parent ask me. Baga daa mahahali na ang k-12. So ako huh?
So how can we
achieve our 2023 theme: “Gradweyt ng K to 12: Hinubog ng Matatag na Edukasyon” (K to 12 Graduates:
Molded through a Resilient Educational Foundation) if that so.

At the heart of k-12 program lies a powerful belief: that education is not just about acquiring knowledge,
(the world is changing but the challenges is not) so we need provide them skills that they can use as their
gun in the battle called life. Kaya nga po may Senior High. The goal of the government na meroong atleast 1
Na which is tinutupad napo ng
bago nating school head. Well siguro dahil
parehas po kaming TLE major. Thank you po sir tipono. We also need to teach them right attitude. K-12 is
also about instilling values, building character and nurturing resilience.. sabi nga Education without values is
dangerous. Yes it is kasi kahit anung galling at talino ng isang tao kung wala syang good character the bullet
in his gun is not enough to win in life. In short wala parin. All that thougth will form an abbreviation word.
ASK (attitude, knowledge and skills) that will make you equip in your different chosen path. Which we never
saw on the previous curriculum of education.. mapapa sana all na lang tlaga kami mga nauna sainyo na libre

Throughout your journey, you have been exposed to a multitude of subjects that have broadened your
horizons. The program’s emphasis on a holistic curriculum has allowed you to explore beyond conventional
classroom enabling you to discover and nurture your unique talents and interest, like your teacher in TLE
they taught you the different components mapa masonry man yan, carpentry, cookery, electrical at kung
You have experienced a well-rounded education that has shaped you into
a confident and adaptable learner you are today.

Additionally, the k-12 program has placed a strong emphasis on technology integration equipping you with
essential 21st century skills.
Because of this integration you have become digital natives and proficient in navigating the vast ocean of
information available in your fingertips. You have developed important skills that will be invaluable in the
future workforce.
pano mag dotdot kaan. So you used it and become resilient.

Yes, we Filipinos are branded with a distinct capability to recover quickly from calamities and disasters. We
are capable of bouncing back and adapting in the face of these challenging circumstances while maintaining
stable mental well-being. Filipino baga kita! Bicolano pa!
That is no doubt resilience. But resilience alone is not enough, and glorifying it with just sorry admission of
our weaknesses and vulnerabilities as a developing country, as human beings, and as mediocre students, is
even worse.  Sabi nga mas maganda kung alam natin an ating kahinaan peru wag name nating gawin rason
para hindi na magpatuloy at sumuko make it as a motivation kung baga.
Your resilience is being tested as we face an unprecedented global health crisis called COVID-19. Sabi daw
makakaranas tayo ng at leat 3 pandemic sa boong buhay natin but hope God forbid. Pandemic has affected
every aspect of our lives disrupting the education system and causing significant challenges for students and
educators alike. Yet amidst these challenges you have demonstrated remarkable adaptability and
determination. Your ability to rise above these challenges is a testament to your resilience, which has been
fostered and nurtured through the K-12 program’s resilient educational foundation. You are equipped to
succeed not only academically but also emotional, socially and ethically.
As you embark on the next year of your academic journey, remember that resilience will continue to be
guiding force in your lives. Embrace challenges as opportunities for growth, seek continuous learning and
never be afraid to fail, for it is within failure that the seeds of success are often sown.
Again Congratulations. And Yes naka survived naman kita.
