    “A RESOLUTION DESIGNATING THE FRONT OF FILTRATION BASKETBALL COURT IN MERCURIO (OPPOSITE


    7-11 CONVENIENT STORE) AS THE WAITING AREA FOR JO3 RED JEEPNEYS ROUTING FROM GORDON
    HEIGHTS VIA MABAYUAN UP TO THE SBMA GATE”.

    WHEREAS, the OTMPS, as the agency mandated to implement all programs and projects concerning
    transport and traffic management, has designed and implemented various programs and projects to address the
    traffic problem in Olongapo City;

    WHEREAS, to respond to the seemingly unending traffic mess, the OTMPS is continuously undertaking
    studies to improve the flow of traffic in our City particularly along its major thoroughfares;

    WHEREAS, on the other hand, the united drivers & operators of the JO3 Red Jeepneys, are asking to give
    them three (3) jeeps that can line up at Filtration in front of the Basketball Court and will be dispatched
    sequentially on a FIRST IN-FIRST OUT procedure without the need for OTMPS personnel to apprehend them;

    WHEREAS, in lieu of this procedure, the drivers can serve the passengers who are accumulating and piling
    up in the said area especially during the school hours of student and workers of SBMA who are sometimes late to
    their destination;

    WHEREAS, this will also give them the opportunity to earn and bring home enough for the need of their
    families, for the reason that it is difficult to drive with an empty passenger especially with the constant increase in
    the price of diesel;

    On motion of Kagawad Mike R. Sagun duly seconded by Kagawad Earl L. Escusa and with the unanimous
    accord of the Sangguniang Barangay members, be it:
    RESOLVED, AS IT IS HEREBY RESOLVED BY THE SANGGUNIANG BARANGAY OF MABAYUAN,
    OLONGAPO CITY, BY VIRTUE OF THE POWERS VESTED IN IT BY LAW, IN SESSION ASSEMBLED, to
    designate the front of filtration Basketball Court in Mercurio (opposite 7-11 convenient store) as the waiting area
    for JO3 Red Jeepneys routing from Gordon Heights via Mabayuan up to the SBMA gate.

    RESOLVED FINALLY, that a copy of this resolution is forwarded to the OSCSMTSAMPC, OTMPS, Office of
    the DILG, & CITY COUNCIL of Olongapo City for their information, guidance, and reference.
