Dod’s Balloons
Dod is a boy who likes balloons a lot. Up! Up! Up!
See a lot of balloons go up. Pop! Pop! Pop!
Dod feels sad. Dad pats Dod. Stop! Stop! Stop!
Mom sees the balloons on top.
Ron sees the balloons on top.
Bon sees the balloons on top. Up! Up! Up!
Dod rides on Dad’s back. Up! Up! Up!
Dod spots the balloons but these all go up.
Mom pats Dod.
Ron pats Dod.
Dods pats Dad, Mom, Ron and Bon.

Care Heals
Ren, Tem and Zen ran in the White Beach of Poctoy. But Ren
stumbled and fell. Ren stood up and shook. Then he felt it.
“I cut my foot!” he said. Tem and Zen took a look. Zen said, “That
does not look fine. Let’s call Tatay Temyo and Nanay Remy.”
Tatay Temyo and Nanay Remy also took a look at Ren’s foot. It
had a deep cut in it.
Tatay Temyo said, “That does not look good.” “We need a
doctor’s help,” Nanay Remy said.
Dr. Uy took a look. “Ren needs stitches,” he said. “And he also
needs medicine and a lot of rest. Keep him at home. He cannot
run and play.”
Ren was very sad. He did not want to rest, but his foot felt bad.
Tem and Zen petted him. They hugged him. They even prepared
merienda for him.
“Cheer up, Ren! Nanay Remy said. “I know you want to run and
play. But we can still have fun. We can read a story!”
So Nanay Remy read one of Ren’s favorite story. Ren’s foot even
felt a little better. He knew that it was his family’s care that made
him feel better.

happened to him?

Unripe Avocados
Saturday is Barangay Buyabod’s market day. Nanay Amor
bought avocados in the market. Aya, Aga and Andi, her children
like them very much. When Nanay Amor arrived home, she
washed her hand first and put alcohol before announcing to her
children what they will have for snacks. She unpacked her basket
and told them that she will make avocado shake for them.
“Oh! No! The avocados she bought are still unripe”. The girls felt
sad. After a while Aya went outside and got Madre Cacao leaves
