Section 8 – Transportation
Non-Hazardous Batteries If the cells contain less than 0.5 grams of lithium and the batteries contain less
(Per IATA and US DOT) than 1.0 grams total quantity of lithium (see battery label), they are not restricted
for shipping purposes.
Section 9 – Disposal
Other: All lithium/thionyl Chloride batteries should be disposed of by a proper disposal facility.
