     Common Rules for Changing Voice (active to passive)
     Active: Covid-19 affects 210 countries around
    the world.
     Passive: 210 countries are affected by Covid-19
    around the world.
     1. Object of active sentence becomes the subject of
    passive sentence. (‘210 countries’ has become subject in
    the passive voice)
     2. Subject of active sentence becomes the object of
    passive sentence and the word “by” precedes the
    object. (‘Covid-19’ has become object and ‘by’ has
    been used before it)
     3. Always past participle form of the verb is used.
    (‘affect’-‘affected’)
     4. Auxiliary verbs are used in passive voice according to
    the tense. (as it’s present simple we have used the
    auxiliary ‘are’)
    The Form of Active Voice and Passive Voice in Past Tense
    Past Simple
    Active Formulation: Subject + V2 (past form of the verb) + object
    e.g. They made a lot of profit.
    Passive Formulation: object as a subject+ was/were + V3 + by +
    subject as object
    e.g. A lot of profit was made by them.
    Past Continuous
    Active Formulation: Subject + was/were + verb+ ing + object
    e.g. The baker was baking a cake.
    Passive Formulation: object as subject + was/were + being + V3 + by +
    subject as object
    e.g. A cake was being baked by the baker.

    Past Perfect
    Active Formulation: Subject + had + V3 + object
    e.g. I had done my homework before coming here.
    Passive Formulation: object as subject + had+ been + V3 + by + subject as
    object
    e.g. My homework had been done by me before coming here.

    The Form of Active Voice and Passive Voice in future Tense

    Future Simple
    Active Formulation: Subject + will + V1 (base form of verb)+ object
    e.g. My mother will knit a sweater.
    Passive Formulation: object as a subject+ will be + V3 + by + subject as
    object
    e.g. A sweater will be knitted by my mother.

    Future Continuous
    Active Formulation: Subject + will + be + V1+ing( present participle form
    of verb)+ object
    e.g. I will be teaching my students in the afternoon.
    Passive Formulation: object as subject + will be + being + V3 + by +
    subject as object
    e.g. My students will be being taught by me in the afternoon.
    Future Perfect
    Active Formulation: Subject + will have + V3 + object
    e.g. You will have heard this story.
    Passive Formulation: object as subject + will have+ been + V3 + by +
    subject as object
    e.g. This story will have been heard by you.
