    Planning Information

    Effectivity: TRC497 SKYWATCH®, P/N 805-10800-001

    ECN: 72988

    Concurrent Requirements: N/A

    Reason: A production change to prevent power supply board failures.

    Description: This modification adds nylon washers to prevent shorts on the


    power supply PCB assembly P/N 812-10804-001 when using the
    bare power supply board P/N 206-10804-001 Rev. C. The Rev. C
    board does not have sufficient clearance between several heat sink
    mounting holes and the surrounding traces.

    Compliance: Customer Units: Units removed from aircraft for repair or test and
    evaluation must have Mod H incorporated. Factory service
    personnel will inspect the unit and install the mod if Rev. C of the
    bare power supply board P/N 206-10804-001 is installed. Mod H
    will be marked to show the unit has been inspected.
    NOTE: Cost is no charge for this modification.
    New Units: Future production units will incorporate Mod H.

    Approval: This service bulletin contains no modification information that


    revises the approved configuration and therefore does not require
    governmental or other regulatory agency approval.

    Manpower: Removal and replacement of the TRC497 from the aircraft is not
    reimbursable by L-3 Avionics Systems.

    Units can only be inspected and modified at the factory. When sending the unit to the factory:
