    EXECUTIVE ORDER NO. 05, SERIES- 2023

    ORGANIZING THE BARANGAY NUTRITION COMMITTEE


    WHEREAS, Section 16 (general welfare clause) of Republic act 7160, otherwise
    known as the local government code of 1991, provides that local government units
    (LGU’s) within their territorial jurisdiction, shall ensure and support among other
    things, the promotion of health and safety;

    WHEREAS, the Department of the Interior and Local Government (DILG) Regional
    Office III issued Regional Memorandum dated August 21, 1998, encouraging all
    Local Chief Executives (LCE’s) to organized Local Nutrition Councils, committees
    in the case of barangays.

    NOW THEREFORE, I ALICIA D. SACDALAN, Punong Barangay of Cupang


    Proper, City of Balanga, Bataan, by virtue of the powers in me vested by law,
    do hereby order.

    SECTION 1. Organizing and composition of Barangay Nutrition Committee


    (BNC)- pursuant to DILG Regional Memorandum, there is hereby organized a
    Barangay Nutrition Committee to be composed of the following;

    Chairman - Alicia D. Sacdalan


    Co-chairman - Lorna S. Matias
    School Principal - Agnes M. Omagtang
    President PTA - Larry Escaler
    Barangay Health Midwife - Janet Yambao
    Barangay Nutrition Scholar - Thelma Sanchez/
    Sheryl Del Mundo
    Barangay Health Worker - Catherine Caparas
    Cecille Almoradie
    Jeanette Valdez
    Barangay Daycare Worker - Nancy Ventura
    Senior Citizen - Clodualdo Fernandez
    Bc- Kabalikat - Alma Montales
    EXECUTIVE ORDER NO. 05, SERIES- 2022

    ORGANIZING THE BARANGAY NUTRITION COMMITTEE

    SECTION 2. Duties and Function of the BNC. The BNC shall have the following
    duties and functions;

    1. Formulate nutrition action plans / programs.

    2. Coordinate implementation and monitoring of agency/sectoral nutrition


    activities
    3. Conduct periodic field visits and meetings to assess progress of program
    Implementation.
    4. Serves as resource group of nutrition program
    5. Hold regular quarterly meetings, and
    6. Prepare spot map.

    This order shall take effect immediately.

    Issued this 11th day of January, 2022 at BarangayCupang Proper, Balanga City,
    Bataan.
