What Is The Floorball
Floorball has its origins in Europe during the second half of the 20th century, it is a sport of
Swedish origin. It emerged as a derivative of ice hockey. It was used in schools because it was
not as dangerous as ice hockey and there was no need for skates and an ice rink.
Playing field
The land is 24 meters long by 15 meters wide. The goal area is 4 meters long by 3 meters wide.
The goals area are separated from the bottom of the pitch by a distance of 3 metres be
delimited by a painted line
The material
One stick per player (except the goalkeeper), made of hard plastic and approximately 1 meter
long.
The ball must be round, hollow, white, plastic, with 26 holes. The modern ball is called a
cheeseball
The team
Each team consists of 4 field players and a goalkeeper.
The outfield players will use the stick but not the goalkeeper.
The goalkeeper cannot leave the goal area, but can touch, hold, throw and direct the ball with
any part of the body. However, he must play the ball within 3 seconds or there is a penalty.
This penalty consists of a free kick from the goal area line.
