TECHNIQUE:
3 mm reconstructions were reviewed from scan performed on multislice CT in
different window settings and planes. Non contrast CT abdomen done for
Urinary tract.
CLINICAL DATA:
Pain left flank
FINDINGS
 Within limitation of non-contrast study liver, spleen, pancreas, and
adrenals are normal. No abdominal or pelvic lymphadenopathy seen.
 Right kidney is relatively small in size (8.6cm x 3.3cm) with
irregular contour and altered shape. No focal lesion, mass or
hydronephrosis seen.
 Left kidney: is normal in size (11.4cm x 6.1cm) and shape. An about
1.3cm x 1.1cm calculus is seen in interpolar region causing mild
dilatation of pelvicalyceal system. Mild fat standing around renal
pelvis is also seen. No focal mass lesion seen.
 There is no evidence of high-density shadow in the lines of both ureters.
 Urinary bladder is suboptimally filled with no intra vesical calculus or
diverticulum.
 IUCD insitu

IMPRESSION:
 Nephrolithiasis-left with mild hydronephrosis
 Relatively small right kidney with irregular contour and altered
shape
