COURSE SYLLABUS
Bachelor of Science in Tourism Management
TMPE 305 – Ecotourism
1st Semester, AY 2021-2022
National Goal : The attainment of globally competitive Filipinos through quality and excellent education, relevant and responsive to changing environment,
accessible and equitable to deserving students, and efficient and effective in optimizing returns and benefits.

The Management commits to establish, maintain and monitor our quality management system and ensure that adequate resources are

Program Objectives: Upon completion of the degree, BS TM students will be able to:
1. Lead the innovation of tourism products towards greater sustainability within the tourism supply chain and other sectors.
2. Perform professional behavior and tourism competencies based on industry standards.
3. Conduct and utilize researches for tourism related problems as well as sites & attractions development.
4. Initiate voluntary projects through promoting sustainable tourism to its stakeholders.
Program Outcomes:
A. Common to all programs in all types of HEIs
The graduates have the ability to:
a. Articulate and discuss the latest developments in the specific field of practice.
b. Effectively communicate orally and in writing using English, Filipino, mother tongue language, and an appropriate foreign language required by the
industry.
c. Work effectively and independently in multi-disciplinary and multi-cultural teams.
d. Act in recognition of professional, social, and ethical responsibility.
e. Preserve and promote “Filipino historical and cultural heritage” (based on RA No. 7722).

i. Create and deliver brand new tourism experiences and high quality, visitor-focused tourism products
j. Plan, implement and monitor tours and sales
k. Research, plan and conduct various tour guiding activities
l. Develop appropriate marketing program and arrange the required travel services
m. Plan, organize, implement and evaluate MICE activities
n. Conduct research on the impacts of tourism.
o. Plan, develop and evaluate tourism sites and attractions
p. Partnership with local community in tourism planning & development
q. Take roles in promoting ecotourism, socio economic activities thus minimizing the negative effects of tourism to visitors & hosts
r. Operate a travel & tour and other allied business venture
