business solutions. SmartServ's founding team consists of UW Madison, UC Berkeley alumni
with strong-domain knowledge having built top-notch products and implementing them at
Fortune 500 companies.

SmartServ is on a mission to build a powerful AI-powered assistant enabling service businesses


to focus and increase their sales metrics by scoring on leadership opportunities that are ideally
lost in the field. We are constantly mining recommendations to help service contractors gain
efficiency and help them spend more time in front of customers, not computers. Our customers
stay in control of their business and have visibility into the most important data and metrics

We are looking for highly motivated, energetic & go-getter individuals who want to join a
dynamic fast-growing startup with proven market demand and a growing Sales Team. This role
would require the individual to introduce SmartServ’s platform to new customers, set up
appointments, and identify new opportunities for the company. This is a highly visible role and
the efforts will be recognized and duly rewarded.

● Learn and demonstrate a fundamental understanding of SmartServ’s technology and


clearly articulate capabilities and advantages to prospective customers to successfully
manage and overcome prospect objections
● Call and Prospect into small and mid-sized field service companies internationally via
cold calling, networking, e-mail as well as utilizing Internet information sources to build
and maintain a strong database and pipeline
● Penetrate, prospect, qualify and schedule well-qualified appointments/demonstrations
with key decision-makers within “targeted” companies and territories
● Exceed daily and weekly goals as well as deliver a high quantity of well qualified
opportunities to the senior sales team
● Drive new customer development initiatives by gathering data requirements.
● Conduct research on prospects, decision-makers, and business owners, while building
rapport and nurturing relationships with prospects to assist them in each step of the
buying journey
● Maintain CRM (Hubspot) hygiene, document accurate records of daily activities, contact
and company information for prospects and customers
● Conduct professional conversations and orchestrate demos with appropriate high-level
contacts in prospect accounts, often business owners.

You will fit right in if you have:

● Masters in Business or a related field.


● 0 - 1 year of experience an outbound focussed IT cold calling/sales/support/customer
service position
● Will to gain startup experience and enjoy working in an agile startup environment
● Highly motivated self-starter with a competitive personality and strong attention to
detail
● Ability to work proactively and independently while being a team player who possesses
the desire and ability to work in a fast-paced, goal-oriented sales environment
● Exceptional communication skills, both oral and written, coupled with excellent listening
skills and a positive and energetic phone presence
● Ability to learn skills that help in lead generation, appointment setting, opportunity
qualification, pre-call planning, call structure/control, and time management.
● Conversant with Microsoft Office applications and CRM systems/Hubspot.

Timings: This is a prospecting/client interaction role, hence requires you to


operate in the US time zone which is - 6:00 PM IST to 3:00 AM IST.

Job description:
You will be responsible for the front-end aspects of the sales cycle, from discovery to close, that
fuels company growth. Motivated by solving business problems on behalf of prospective
customers, and with exceptional prospecting skills to uncover and close new business
opportunities, you will be responsible for ultimately driving the adoption of JOVA.
We’re looking for a high-energy, outgoing and sales-driven person who is technically savvy and
is quick on their feet. This is a ground-floor sales opportunity to be an integral part of an
exciting startup that is geared for growth and impact in the market of non-desk workers.
Responsibilities:
● Conduct product needs assessments by reaching out (cold emails, cold calls), identifying
pain points, and effectively articulating JOVA’s unique value proposition.
● Develop and manage a 3X sales pipeline in both existing and new market verticals
through online and offline strategies.
● Identify key decision-makers within target accounts and implement key outreach
techniques to generate product awareness.
● Successfully qualify and convert leads into prospects, drive sales calls or product demos,
and assist in closing.
● Accurately manage and track customer data and interactions into the CRM.
● Build strategic relationships to achieve referrals, grow existing business, and ensure
customer satisfaction.
● Follow up after sales for customer feedback and communicate with the team to assist in
product improvement.

Background:
● Graduate in Business, Sales & Marketing, Communications, Technology or similar
● 1+ years of relevant experience in lead generation, cold-calling/prospecting, solution
selling
● Experience working with a technology startup is highly preferred
● Comfortable with computers, technology and CRM tools
● Experience in technical support role or prospecting to international clients (US) is an
asset

Requirements:
● Sales experience particularly in SAAS/SMB markets - Great to have, but we can show
you the ropes of you think you’ve got what it takes.
● Must be sales-driven and possess a strong work ethic. Crush sales targets on a daily and
weekly basis by being competitive, focused, hungry, and relentless
● Superior written and verbal communication skills balanced with great listening skills.
● Strong organizational and analytical skills, and excellent follow through.
● Passion to learn, easily pick up new skills and assimilate technical information quickly.
● Confident and comfortable interacting with all levels of management within the client
organization and builds enduring relationships
● Comfortable in a fast-paced and rapidly evolving space that responds to customer and
market feedback quickly.
● Extra hungry and willing to do what it takes to wow our customers.

time zone which is a NIGHT SHIFT -7:00 PM IST to 4:00 AM IST.
