Conclusions

Overall, the internship is a really good program that I have experienced during my

college life. It helps me to enhance and develop my skills, abilities, and knowledge. I

have a good memory as I have gained experience, but also new friends and

knowledge. Pah Ramen is a good place for the internship since it provides a series of

knowledge and cooking skills that can take advantage of the practical training.

Recommendations

The Pah Ramen industry is highly recommendable as not only a working area where

you can experience the different kinds of making unique food, but also a place where

you will be able to taste good food that makes you comeback again. I will surely

recommend this industry to other people.

Acknowledgment

First, I wish to express my sincere gratitude to Sir Al Suguitan for providing me an

opportunity to do my internship at Pah Ramen. For me, it was a great experience to be part

of and study the different menus in the restaurant. This internship period was a great

chance to learn that I can bring to the future industry that I will be part of in the future.

Second, I express my deepest sense of gratitude to Prof. Raymund R. Baniaga, our OJT

Coordinator, for providing us an opportunity to work in an industry that is related to our

chosen course, where we can learn a lot that we can apply in the future. I am forever

grateful.

Furthermore, I would like to express my deepest and sincerest thanks to my family, who

have been there since the beginning, providing me with financial support all throughout this

journey.

Finally, I would like to extend my deep gratitude to the almighty God for my internship,

which would not be possible without his guidance.

ACCOMPLISHMENT REPORT

As a student trainee, I need to do my best, in spite of my shyness, so that I can be

strong enough to face the challenges ahead of my work and maintain a good working

relationship with them. They oriented me about the rules and regulation, safety guidelines,

standard operating procedure. And they also taught us some tips on how to manage the

restaurant properly. At first, I felt nervous about working with them. They introduced me to

my coworkers. At first I was so shy, but after a few days I was able to inject jokes with them.

I’m so thankful to my co-workers because they helped me with my work. I was assigned in

the sushi department; organizing and making some sushi, dessert, drinks like herb cucumber

lemonade, honey lemonade and tamarind juice. I really enjoy it when we have other

functions, such as parties and take-out. I enjoyed preparing food for the customers. My

second assignment was in the kitchen department when the kitchen supervisor told me that

I was to be in the pantry, which would prepare foods. I observed what they did every day

until I learned how to manage my own life. I really enjoyed working with the everyday. I am

used to being friendly and nice to them. At first, I was so slow in preparing food orders, and

the kitchen supervisor advised me that I needed to be fast in preparing orders. But still, I did

my job well in preparing food so that it would appear presentable and clean to the

customers. I enjoyed preparing food for the customers. And I observed that if employees

are on duty at night to serve the orders of the customers. I did my job very well in this area.

Overall, in my on the job training, I was so glad that I had my training at Pah Ramen because

they were so good to me. They helped me in my work. I have learned so many things from

them that I can use in my future job.

LESSON LEARNED

I've been on an On-the-Job-Training course for about a month now, and one of the

hardest issues to face is how to PROVE YOURSELF: that you are really doing your job and

that you deserve a good grade, not only to your supervisor but also to your coworkers. I’ve

learned a lot of things in just 288 hrs. of on-the-job training, but I’ve noticed that there are

still other things that I have to improve. One of them is my verbal communication. When it's

your first time, nervousness and shyness are always present. For many reasons, and a lot of

stuff playing on my mind. As such, I do not know the people in the office; and I do not have

any actual experience. That made me quiet at first. Trying to observe how to get along with

the employee. There are times when I have difficulty expressing myself, possibly to others,

because I don't know how to say it in a way that the listener can easily understand and

grasp my point. Ever since I started my on-the-job training, more commonly called an

"internship," I have learned values that will help me build a brighter future. Every day is a

challenge for me to stand out. But I always have a winning attitude through the guidance of

the Lord, and I always tell myself, "I’m gonna win this." I learned a lot of things during my

OJT.

There are important things I’ve learned. First, you need to please everyone. Try as much as

you can to be polite and nice to everyone, and do it with sincerity. Because when we are

kind to people, the same kindness returns to us. And smile always. I was able to learn how

to accept small or big mistakes. In this practicum, I’ve learned how to face the real world

and talk to different people. On my first day as a practicum, I thought I was not able to do

well, but as time passed by, I know I gained more self-confidence and self-esteem. I also

learned how important time management is in this practicum. I know sometimes I will fail
and get criticized. But I take it as a challenge to improve more and to move forward instead

of pushing myself backwards. I can say, I'm happy and fulfilled being a part of Pah Ramen. I

could probably say that I really learned a lot of things here. I knew from the moment I

stepped foot on this property that I would face new challenges as a member of this industry,

but I also knew that I would learn new things about the potential work that I would be doing

in the company.

I gain knowledge. I learn new skills. I met different people. I can say that my personal

experience here in Pah Ramen is everything, not just for the real world of securing

employment but for me to look forward to after my graduation. Yes, someday I may be one

of those applicants who is trying to seek a good job. And not just a good job, but also a good

industry like Pah Ramen. The whole OJT experience was really a great memory to

remember. All through the working days, I learn that the most important thing is the

attitude and how to deal with other people. It also needs knowledge and skills in analyzing

the situation or the task that has been given to you. You need to learn from your mistakes,

because mistakes can make you a better person. I say, "OJT here at Pah Ramen helps me to

prepare myself for my future employment. It also helps me become more efficient in

dealing with the people around me. Experience is the best teacher and nothing compares to

the knowledge that it can give us. It may be hard at first, but once we learn to appreciate

and love what we’re doing, it becomes easier and easier every day. In the beginning,

working with people you have just met is something different and something that is hard on

the inside. Hard inside, you can't say anything or do anything that you usually say because of

the near fact that you might offend them or they may think you’re rude. From my

experience, I have become an observer and a listener to the people I worked with.
