L:4 T:0 P:0 Credits:4

Course Outcomes: Through this course students should be able to

CO1 :: define physical quantities, parameters and select their units for use in engineering
solutions.

CO2 :: describe physical quantities as scalar and vectors and study application of force in daily
life situations.

CO3 :: explain fundamental principles of physics to solve problems and drive work, power, and
energy relationship.
CO4 :: establish the relationship between physical properties associated with linear motion and
rotational motion.

CO5 :: illustrate the concepts of mechanics and solve statics problems that involve properties of
matter.
CO6 :: differentiate between conduction, convection, and radiation and express physical work in
terms of heat and temperature.
