Theoretical Framework

In order to support the goals of the study, various kinds of theories are used to explore the relevant
features. These adopted concepts helped study researchers advance and a conceptual framework for research to
develop.
Psychological Theory
This theory is a set of fundamental ideas that tries to explain human thought, emotion, and behavior.
It can be utilized to comprehend the interaction between groups and individual behavior (Author, M., 2022).
There are five major types of psychological theories. Behavioral theory; cognitive theory; humanistic theory;
psychodynamic theory; biological theory (Kendra, 2022).
This theory has practical applications, particularly in leadership. According to research,
psychological distance is a subjective component that influences how people relate to leaders. As a result, the
researchers used the Psychological theory to assess the efficiency of LIPAD Organization leadership. Through
community-based programs, researchers can assess the effects of psychological theory on the effectiveness of
volunteerism.
Empowerment Theory
Offers a distinctive framework for creating initiatives to support the healthy development of children
Because it takes into account the idea that health promotion necessitates not only that young people develop a
variety of useful talents and good traits (Zimmerman, 2000). Organizations have the ability to better meet the
requirements of their community, and enhance the health and well-being of individuals by educating and
assisting instructors to work with them. It also acts as motivators for their participants, encouraging them to
engage in physical exercise (Moran, T., 2017). In order to meet human needs and raise concerns that are not
easily handled, empowerment aims to bring about societal change on a personal and political level (Luluquisen,
E., 2023).
This theory has inference, for young people who are part of a youth organization and want to lead an
organization. Research has shown that members of youth organizations can be influenced by their ability to
serve and empower their ability to serve, and thus the researcher used the Empowerment Theory to observe the
LIPAD Organization. By participating and observing the existing organization, the researcher can determine the
effectiveness of the LIPAD Organization in a community.
This theory may imply that is necessary in the person to be empowered and to gain crucial
interpersonal and personal skills by participating in groups. These include the capacity for analytical thinking
and problem-solving as well as the acceptance of individual and collective accountability. Youth can also
benefit by developing their self-esteem and confidence. The League of Integrated Public Administration student
try Dedicated for service (LIPAD) also empowered youth now a days. In a way of being aware of their
potential, independence, and value. The organization is willing to take chances and understand that failing is a
step in the right direction, not a reason to give up. Youth empowerment also helps them comprehend their
responsibilities and positions in society. This could result in improved perceptions of the young sector toward
education, poverty alleviation, even crime reduction, and a decline in juvenile delinquency as a result of the
long-term benefits of youth empowerment.
RRL
According to Sullivan, Edwards et.al 2003, "Youth organizing is a process for developing within a
neighborhood or community a base of young people committed to altering power relationships and creating
meaningful institutional change”

Members are generally high school age youth living in low-income communities and communities of
color. Youth organizing groups attract new members through peer-to peer outreach and the promise of
addressing problems in their daily lives. Interested youth attend youth-led meetings and popular education
activities at their school or a community-based site. These gatherings offer young people a welcoming
environment, food, and academic and social supports. Over time, youth members take on leadership roles and
participate in campaigns to effect social change.

Based on the study conducted by Shah 2011, Many researchers have hypothesized that experiences
with youth organizing in high school will shape development into adulthood, but there has been little empirical
evidence to date. Some research suggests that members of youth organizing groups believe that their
participation will influence their future behavior. The researcher found that a strong majority of high school age
members of youth organizing groups reported that their experience in organizing not only has led them to take
more rigorous academic courses and achieve better grades, but also forged higher educational aspirations for the
future. The youth members in Shah’s study also reported that they planned to remain civically engaged as
young adults. There has only been one published study that has linked youth organizing experiences during high
school with young adult beliefs and behaviors.

Volunteerism

According to, Makina, J., 2013. “The youth are the participants of development.” In many cases, volunteering
gives young people a way to establish their own priorities, formulate their own agendas, and interact with other
young people or other actors. Volunteering might inspire people to get involved in politics, especially young
people. Through volunteering, they are not only able to help out a community but also learn something about
themselves. The opportunity tests the limits and allows to go beyond the comfort zones. It is essential for
growth as a citizen and it develops habits within hearts and mind.

According to Barry N. Checkoway, PhD, (2023). Youth Participation and Community Change. Young people
are involved in the institutions and decisions that affect their life through the process of youth involvement.
Youth are designing activities of their own choosing, establishing social action organizations, and speaking out
for their beliefs in their community as ways of expressing their engagement. The organization promoting
awareness, enlightening people about issues that interest in the society, and offering services that found
valuable. There is no one technique that encompasses all participation strategies. It is believed that the creation
of a youth organization drives change in a community since it advocates for change and aids the city's
underprivileged residents.

WALA TO.

Similar to this study, the researchers located and established an organization that supports a barangay. It
discovered was the LIPAD Organization, which had started to form during the pandemic. The feeding program,
tree planting program, outreach program, and many others are just a few of the programs the organization
operates.

LIPAD Organization is one of the most powerful organization in Barangay Minuyan, San Jose Del Monte,
Bulacan. This is accomplished by putting in place youth-oriented programs and/or participating in influencing
work to advance their cause. LIPAD youth organizations typically place a strong emphasis on supporting and
upholding young people's democratic and social rights, encouraging their social and political participation at all
levels of community life, and providing opportunities for personal and social growth through pastimes,
volunteer work, and informal and non-formal learning. According to, Esminia M. Luluquisen, (2023). The Book
of Sariling Gawa Youth Council as a Case Study of Youth Leadership Development in Hawai’i. In order to meet
human needs and raise concerns that are not easily handled, empowerment aims to bring about societal change
on a personal and political level. The core of youth empowerment is implicit in the Sariling Gawa model, which
focuses on its strengths by educating young people on leadership skills pertinent to the history, culture, and
socioeconomic environment of Filipinos in Hawaii. The League of Integrated Public Administration student try
Dedicated for service (LIPAD) also empowered youth now a days. In a way of being aware of their potential,
independence, and value. The organization is willing to take chances and understand that failing is a step in the
right direction, not a reason to give up.

Each organization has a distinct approach or objective to deliver its programs. In the end, they all give
youth the chance to develop their skills. Some of them might be specialized talents, like how to dance or play
soccer, but other groups give young people the chance to gain more general life skills, including accountability,
judgment, concern for others, or leadership. The youth can do a lot to advance safe living conditions as a
fundamental human right. Also, youth organization may help community campaigns succeed and guarantee that
everyone has access to a healthy and secure environment by spreading awareness, volunteering, advocacy for
change, serving as role models, and planning community activities.
