5. What is SEVIS?
I chose to study computer forensics and counterterrorism in the USA because it offers top-quality
education in this field.
American universities are globally recognized for their academic excellence and provide a diverse range
of programs that are not available in my home country.
I believe that studying in the USA will expose me to a highly competitive academic environment,
renowned faculty, and valuable research opportunities.
Additionally, I have a strong desire to utilize the knowledge and experiences gained during my studies to
positively contribute to the development of our country.
Therefore, I see the USA as the ideal destination to acquire the best education and skills needed to make
a meaningful impact upon my return.
After completing my master's in this field, I aim to return to Bangladesh and join top cybersecurity
companies like Dhaka Distributions, Trustaria Limitied to gain valuable work experience in the field.
Ultimately, I aspire to use my expertise and experience to contribute to the cybersecurity sector in
Bangladesh and potentially start my own company to further advance the field locally.
I selected Arizona Western College for my computer forensics and counterterrorism major due to its
exceptional specialized courses, like Procedural Criminal Law, Computer Forensics, and Criminal
Investigation, which are hard to come by elsewhere.
Moreover, the school's strong emphasis on hands-on learning and cutting-edge technology resources
stood out to me. These aspects will provide me with practical skills and vital real-world experience
needed for the ever-evolving field of cybersecurity.
I also had a discussion with Ms. Jolie Yakuba, my designated school official, who informed me about the
excellent dormitory facilities at Arizona Western College. These dorms are well-maintained, equipped
with modern amenities, and situated in a secure location. This assurance eliminates concerns about

Why associate?
An associate degree is a quick and effective way to establish a strong foundation for further education.
I plan to pursue my associate degree and then transfer to Arizona State University to pursue my
bachelor’s and master’s degree in the same field.
The small classroom size of an associate degree Program allows for more individualized attention from
teachers, which will be beneficial for my studies.
Also I need to adapt to the significant contrasts between the Bangladeshi and American educational
systems.
Overall, I see the associate degree as “a building block” that will help me reach my educational goals.
Bangladesh is known for having a reasonable educational system but USA has majority of the world's
high-ranking universities.
And I want to attend one of those prestigious institutions to achieve my academic goals.
Also, the degree from the USA holds extreme value, acceptance, and reputation all over the world,
especially in Bangladesh.
