OBJECTIVE

Registered Nurse with 10+ years of healthcare experience as a Licensed Practical Nurse (LPN) and Medic
in both the military and civilian sector. Served in various positions from staff worker to manager. Seeking
opportunities to continue growing as a Registered Nurse (RN) both professionally and proficiently as well
as bringing experiences gained to contribute to the success of the overall mission of the organization.

EXPERIENCE

UC Health Memorial Central Internal Medicine Ward l September 2021- Present

 Registered Nurse/relief charge nurse in a 32 bed inpatient ward with a focus on COVID 19 and Medical
Surgical patients. Performing duties as a charge nurse, staff nurse and preceptor to incoming traveling
nurses and new resident nurse graduates. Daily duties include planning, implementing, and evaluating
patient care plans based on patient assessment to optimize outcomes and maximize available resources.
Monitor, record, and communicate patient condition as appropriate. Collaborate as needed across
disciplines to coordinate patient care, including patient transfer, discharge, referral and
spiritual/psychosocial support needs. Evaluate learning needs of patient and/or family and provides
patient/family education appropriate to age, culture, condition, and circumstances.

Rocky Mountain Health Care Services l Home Care RN l May 2021-September 2021

 Registered Nurse in a home care setting preforming general nursing care, treatment, examinations,
medication management, lab draws, wound care, PICC line care, and other health care needs.
Maintained effective communication with facilities such as long-term care/assisted livings,
interdisciplinary teams, and other members of the care team who are involved. Followed up with hospital
and subacute rehab discharges to ensure patients’ needs both physically and emotionally are met and
address any concerns.

Rocky Mountain Health Care Services| Home Care LPN| 2017-May 2021

 Home care staff nurse for a 700+ patient company capable of providing medical assessments, triage,
medication management and wound care to the elderly population of Colorado Springs in a home
environment. Reported concerns to Primary care providers or RN coordinators. Address concerns
patients’ and family members had and ensured proper communication to appropriate disciplines was
communicated.
US Army Fort Carson 10th Combat Support Hospital| Healthcare Specialist (Medic)|| 2013-
2017

 NCOIC (Manager) of the Emergency Medical Treatment Section (ER) of a 144 bed Combat Support
Hospital. Responsible for over $ 1million in equipment and ensured appropriate supplies were readily
available for the mission of the department. Supervised and ensured compliance of the
training/certification of 14 Soldiers. ACLS and PALS certified.

US Army Walter Reed Army Medical Hospital| License Practical Nurse|| 2010-2013

 NCOIC (Manager) of a 19-bed telemetry ward, responsible for compliance in training, education,
certification of over 40 Soldiers/Sailors/Civilians. ACLS certified. Provided care to a community of patients
with an underlying cardiac conditions and rule outs. Managed patient care to include vital signs, lab
draws, EKGs, continuous telemetry monitoring, medication administration and recovery from heart
catheterizations.

US Army Fort Bragg, NC 82nd Airborne Division| Healthcare Specialist (Medic) | 2007-2010

 Medic to an Airborne Infantry Platoon deployed to Baghdad, Iraq in support of Operation Iraq Freedom.
Responsible for immediate care and triage of injured sustained to Soldiers, NATO members, and local
nationals. Managed vaccinations, clinic operations, and environmental health of 84 Soldiers living with
the Iraq Army. Upkept skills in airway management such as intubations, controlling massive
hemorrhage, and rapid trauma assessments. Provided basic lifesaving training to 84 Soldiers in
controlling bleeding and modes of manual transportation.
