 Objectives of teaching mathematics in terms of Instruction and behaviour, approaches to teaching of


mathematics – analytic, synthetic, inductive-deductive heuristic, project and laboratory; using
various techniques of teaching mathematics viz, oral, written, drill, assignment, supervised study and
programmed learning. Teaching of Reading: Nature of Reading process, oral and silent reading,
