NOTE: This installation procedure includes the usual test and an additional check. The additional check is for a
computer modified for the aircraft by the replacement of the OBRM(s) in the shop. If the computer
installed was modified for the aircraft by the replacement of the OBRM(s) in the shop, you must do the
additional check.

(1) Make sure that the ground service network is energized Ref. AMM TASK 24-42-00-861-801.
(2) Make sure that the access platform is in position at the access door 811.
(3) Make sure that the access door 811 is open.

4. Procedure

A. Installation of the Flight Control Primary Computer (FCPC).
(1) Clean the component interfaces and the adjacent area.
(2) Do a visual inspection of the component interfaces and the adjacent area.
(3) Remove the blanking cap from each electrical connector and receptacle.
(4) Make sure that all the electrical connections are clean and in the correct condition.
(5) Install the FCPC (1) on its rack (3).
(6) Push the FCPC (1) on its rack (3) to connect the electrical connectors (2).
(7) Engage the nuts (4) on the lugs (5) and tighten.
(8) Make sure that the OBRMs are correctly installed. If they are not installed correctly, push the
OBRMs until the locking devices are locked.

B. Precaution.

NOTE: You must close the C/Bs 7CE3 and 7CE4 at the same time.
You must close the C/Bs 7CE5 and 7CE6 at the same time.

On the FLT CTL section of the overhead panel 212 VU, if the FAULT legend of the PRIM 3
comes on (P/B SW pushed), open and close again the C/Bs 7CE3 and 7CE4.

C. Remove the safety clip(s) and the tag(s) and close this(these) circuit breaker(s):

D. Do the operational test of the FCPC Ref. AMM TASK 27-93-00-710-801.

NOTE: If the airline operates the aircraft in CAT 3 conditions, do the LAND CAT III capability test
Ref. AMM TASK 22-97-00-740-801.
NOTE: If the test shows a class 1 fault message related to a computer modified for the aircraft by the
replacement of the OBRM(s) in the shop, you must:
- remove the computer
- return it to the shop.

E. Additional check
(1) Do the procedure to get the SYSTEM REPORT/TEST F/CTL:EFCS page Ref. AMM TASK 45-
10-00-860-814.

NOTE: The actions and results of this procedure occur the MCDU you use.
NOTE: This test is for system 1. For the other system(s), use the indications between the
parentheses.
NOTE: You can not launch this test when the EIVMU is deactivated.

2.Push the line key adjacent to the LRU The LRU IDENTIFICATION page comes
IDENT indication. into view.

Make sure that the P/N shown on the LRU IDENTIFICATION page is the same as the computer
P/N (given on the front face).

NOTE: If the P/N is not the same, you must remove the computer and return it to the shop.

5. Close-up

A. Put the aircraft back to its initial configuration.
(1) On the MCDU, push the line key adjacent to the RETURN indication until the MAINTENANCE
MENU 1/2 comes into view.
(2) On the MCDU, set the BRT knob to OFF.

B. Close Access
(1) Make sure that the work area is clean and clear of tools and other items.
(2) Remove the warning notice(s).
(3) Close the access door 811.
(4) Remove the access platform(s).
