    A microscope is used to magnify small objects. It has parts like the stage, light source, and lenses. To use a microscope: 1) Look through the eyepiece with both eyes open and adjust the light. 2) Place a slide on the stage and use clips to hold it in place. 3) Move the lowest power lens over the slide and focus using the fine focusing wheel. Widen the gap between the stage and lens until the sample is in clear focus. A specimen is something being examined under a microscope.
