    Dear Nursing Recruiter,

    I am writing to you today to express my interest in the Neonatal Intensive Care Unit position at
    Tucson Medical Center in Tucson, Arizona. Throughout my clinical experiences within my
    nursing program, I have grown confident in my knowledge, skills, and abilities in neonatology
    which make me an ideal candidate for the position.

    I am currently a student at the University of Arizona, College of Nursing and will be graduating
    with a Bachelor of Science in Nursing in December 2023. Through my education, I have been
    equipped with the proper skills and abilities that are required for the NICU. I also have the
    necessary traits of compassion and empathy that patients and their families deserve during their
    time in the NICU. I believe I am the best fit for this position because I recognize the importance
    of emotional support that is needed for parents as well as the physical support that is needed for
    the newborns. During my clinical rotations, I have completed 75 hours’ worth of experience in
    the obstetrics setting in which I was exposed to the skills necessary to be successful in this
    department and why the emotional component is an important factor for the nurse to be aware of.

    In addition to this nursing program, I also volunteered at Tucson Medical Center in the
    Emergency Department. During this experience, I was able to get a sense of how important it
    was to provide care for those in need and what kind of values and skills were needed to complete
    this task. The values of Tucson Medical Center closely align to my values; compassion,
    dedication, community, and integrity are vital to nurses as they each provide the necessary traits
    to provide the best possible care for patients. Through these traits, I have developed a deep
    passion for helping some of the most vulnerable patients that we as providers can care for and
    recognize the need for care to be as patient centered as possible for both the patient and their
    families.

    I am a passionate and eager student who strongly identifies with the values of compassion,
    integrity, dedication, community, hard work, and integrity. I hold myself to the highest standards
    of professionalism and compassion, I will work hard for my organization, and I will provide the
    best care I can for my patients. I look forward to hearing from you about the prospect of
    beginning my career at Tucson Medical Center. Thank you for your time and consideration.
