Introductory Message

For the Facilitator:

Welcome to the English 1 Self-Learning Module on Giving One to Two Step


Directions.
This Self-Learning Module was collaboratively designed, developed and
reviewed by educators from the Schools Division Office of Pasig City headed by its
Officer-in-Charge Schools Division Superintendent, Ma. Evalou Concepcion A.
Agustin, in partnership with the City Government of Pasig through its mayor,
Honorable Victor Ma. Regis N. Sotto. The writers utilized the standards set by the K
to 12 Curriculum using the Most Essential Learning Competencies (MELC) in
developing this instructional resource.

This learning material hopes to engage the learners in guided and independent
learning activities at their own pace and time. Further, this also aims to help learners
acquire the needed 21st century skills especially the 5 Cs, namely: Communication,
Collaboration, Creativity, Critical Thinking, and Character while taking into
consideration their needs and circumstances.

In addition to the material in the main text, you will also see this box in the
body of the module:

As a facilitator you are expected to orient the learners on how to use this

Directions tell someone how to do something.
 it is important to understand the purpose of the
directions.
 it is also important to read all of the directions
before beginning something.
 it is important to listen very carefully to the
directions so you can do things correctly.

These are examples of one direction that you can
easily follow when given to you.

Point your finger down and put it on your head

Guided Practice
Let’s try a few items as practice exercise. Follow the
directions given below.
1. Clap your hands and then wiggle it.

This is how you wiggle your hands.

2. Put your hands on your head and then blink your
eyes.

This is how you can do it.

3. Raise your hands and hop.

This is how you raise hand and hop.

ACTIVITIES

ACTIVITY 1
Now let’s have some activities so you can practice
your ability to understand and follow directions.
Directions: Follow the direction.
1. Draw yourself inside the square and color it.
2. On the top of you drawing write your name and
below your drawing write if you are a boy or a girl.

Activity 2

Directions: Read and execute what is ask you to do.


1. Wiggle your fingers and snap your fingers 4 times.

2. Put your hands on your cheek then blink your eyes.

3. Snap your fingers 3 times and then touch your nose.

4. Tap your shoulder and say I did it.

5. Clap your hands and then thumbs up.

Activity 3
Directions: Read and follow the direction carefully.
1. Color the letter L blue and then red for letter E.
