Exam Pattern & Schedule

For PCM (Physics, Chemistry, Mathematics) Group:

Question Format:
 Multiple Choice Questions (MCQs) with Four options for each question.
 Each question has Four alternatives, and only one is correct.
Marking Scheme:
 Physics and Chemistry subjects: 1 mark for each question.
 Mathematics subject: 2 marks for each question.
Exam Duration:
 Total duration: 180 Minutes.

 Solve 150 questions within this time.
Negative Marking:
 There is no Negative Marking.
Question Display:
 Questions will be displayed on the computer screen one at a time.
 Candidates are advised not to spend too much time on any particular question.
Language Options:
 Questions available in English/Urdu/Marathi languages.
 Marathi and Urdu versions available only for candidates who selected that language in the application.
Caution for Marathi and Urdu Version Users:
 Candidates referring to Marathi and Urdu versions should refer to the Original English Version in case of doubt.
 In case of any dispute regarding a question, the Original English version will be considered final.

For PCB (Physics, Chemistry, Biology) Group:

Question Format:
 Multiple Choice Questions (MCQs) with Four options for each question.
 Each question has Four alternatives, and only one is correct.

 Physics, Chemistry, and Biology subjects: 1 mark for each question.
Exam Duration:
 Total duration: 180 Minutes.
 Solve 200 questions within this time.

 There is no Negative Marking.

 Candidates are advised not to spend too much time on any particular question.
Language Options:
 Questions available in English/Urdu/Marathi languages.

Mode of Exam :

Online: The MAH CET is a Computer-Based Test (CBT). Candidates are assigned to specific
computer workstations in designated test centers where they answer questions presented on
the computer screen.

Duration of MAH CET:

The examination lasts for 180 min

RULES TO BE FOLLOWED

Legal Jurisdiction:
All disputes related to the conduct of the examination and selection process will be under the jurisdiction of Courts in
Mumbai. The Commissioner of the State CET CELL is the legal representative for the Government of Maharashtra.
Action Against Ragging: Under the Maharashtra Prohibition of Ragging Act 1999:
 Ragging within or outside any educational institution is prohibited.
 Offenders may face imprisonment up to 2 years and/or a penalty up to ten thousand rupees.
 Convicted students will be dismissed and barred from admission to any educational institution for five years.
 The head of the institution must promptly investigate complaints and take necessary actions.
 Failure to act against ragging may result in legal consequences.
Undertaking from Candidates:
An undertaking will be taken from candidates during admission to the institute.
Applicability of Rules:
 Any acts or amendments published by AICTE, Government, or court judgments will apply to candidates and
institutions covered under these admission rules.
False Information:
 Providing false or incorrect information in the application form may lead to disqualification, cancellation of
admission, forfeiture of fees, and expulsion from the college. Appeals against expulsion can be made to the
Director of Technical Education, Maharashtra State.
Conduct and Discipline:
 Candidates failing to provide accurate information in the application form may face disqualification.
 Engaging in malpractice will lead to punishment under relevant acts and disqualification from MHT-CET-2023.
 Any involvement in leaking question papers or assisting in unfair means may result in prosecution under the
Indian Penal Code.
 Any unresolved issues will be dealt with by the competent authority, with amendments implemented as per
the Government of Maharashtra.

Exam Day Guideline

1-Admit Card & ID Proof: Carry a printout of your admit card along with a valid photo ID proof
(e.g., PAN card, Driving License, Voter ID, Passport, or Aadhaar Card). The name on the ID proof
should match the name on the admit card.

2-Reporting Time: Reach the examination center well in advance. There might be pre-exam
formalities like identity verification, thumb impression recording, photograph capture, etc.

3-Dress Code: Wear simple and comfortable clothing. Avoid wearing heavy jewelry, watches,
bracelets, or any other ornaments. Some centers might have specific dress codes, so it's good to
be prepared.

4-Banned Items: Do not carry electronic devices like mobile phones, Bluetooth devices,
earphones, microphones, pagers, calculators, or any other electronic gadgets. Also, avoid
carrying bags, books, notes, etc.

5-Stationery: Since MAH CET is a computer-based test, you usually won't need any stationery. If
rough sheets are required, they'll be provided at the center.

6-Raise Concerns: If you face any technical issues during the exam, like a system malfunction,
raise your hand and notify the invigilator immediately.

7-Do Not Leave Early: Candidates might not be allowed to leave the exam hall before the test's
official end time, even if they have finished the test.

8-Maintain Silence: Maintain discipline and silence during the examination. Any kind of
disturbance or discussion can lead to disqualification.

10-Check Seat Allocation: Ensure you sit on the seat allocated to you, as seats are often pre-
assigned based on roll numbers.

Syllabus
MAH CET 2024 syllabus is not fixed. The questions will be asked from all the topics that have
been covered at the time of undergraduate and postgraduate qualifications.

The subjects for feeder course and super speciality course will be limited to be prepared. The
asked questions in the this exam will be from PG exit level. The authority will design the syllabus
to check the Technical and Non-Technical skills of the candidates. The complete syllabus will be
available on the website of authority through online mode.
