through the manufacturing machines and its storage and then shipment
process. I saw how the conversion process of raw materials. Then I got to know
that how the training is performed in any organization how a company hire any
employee in its company and how recruitment process is performed in ALP
NISHIKAWA.

INDUSTRY TOUR AND ATTRACTIVE SESSION ON COMMUNICATION SKILLS

After having a good introduction about the organization, like learning the
manufacturing process, learning how the training and acquisition is performed
in ALP NISHIKAWA. Our guide Mr. Dinesh Negi took us on the industry tour of
Gurgaon plant and showed us all manufacturing units and the machines which
were used to manufacture EPDM rubber. They made us understand Human
resource management involves all management decisions and practices that
directly affect or influence the people, or human resources, who work for the
organization. In modern years, amplified concentration has been devoted to
how organizations manage Human Resources. This augmented focus comes
from the comprehension that an organization’s employees facilitate an
organization to attain its goals and the management of these human resources
is vital to an organization’s success.
On the first and the Second floor of Gurgaon plant manufacturing of EPDM
sealing is done and on the third floor all the corporate work was performed.

Our guide organized an attractive session on the communication skills and how
we can work on that, in that session they taught us many things related to

WEEK 2 (DAY 4 & DAY 5): -
DISCUSSION ON COMPANY’S EXCEL ON EMPLOYESS LISTING OF THE
COMPANY
CRITICAL ANALYSIS

My experience as an intern was very good at ALP NISHIKAWA. Everyone in that

organization was very humble and very caring. All of them were very friendly
and good in nature. The office was always neat and clean and time to time
refreshments like tea and coffee were served. The health-related policies were
followed strictly, in every desk there was sanitizer so that we can clean our
hands whenever we need it. The working cabin was comfortable and well
organized and well presented. Everyone was given a plant on their desk for
decorating purpose and had enough space for putting some decorative things
or personal things. All seniors and my colleagues were very helpful in nature
they helped me a lot during my internship period, now also they are connected
with me. Employees were listened and they were allowed to give suggestions
on anything in which they were called. Employees were treated as important
person and each one of them were treated with respect while being friendly.
Same level departments were very friendly with each other they talk like
friend’s mot like a professionals or strangers in same teams the structure was
little informal but outside the team it was formal. Some of the seniors and
employees were very competitive in nature and during lunch time also they
used to talk about work and come late for lunch after completing the work.

Some of them were too busy in their works that they even don’t have much
time to talk or to pick up the calls which were ringing.

The morning breakfast, afternoon lunch and dinner were free for the
employees and for trainee too. some of the seniors were too friendly and they
also helped us in our work whenever we had a doubt, they helped us. Our HR
was also young and friendly he always had a smile on the face and friendly
behavior due to which we never felt bored or we never tried to go home early.
SWOT ANALYSIS OF THE COMPANY
SWOT analysis is a simple framework for generating strategic alternatives from
a situation analysis. SWOT analysis means analysing Strengths, Weaknesses,
Opportunities and Threats of an organization; it includes all internal and
external aspects of the organization. The main objective of SWOT Analysis is to
find out the internal strengths that is, in which areas the organization is
forward than its own competitors and in which area it has lacking. At a time,
the organization can understand about the opportunities that are available in
the market place for his organization and the threats ahead from its
competitors.

Strength

 Strong market position in the domestic EPDM rubber industry:

Benefits from an established market position in the domestic EPDM rubber

industry, the technological tie-up with Nishikawa Rubber Company Ltd
(Nishikawa), and healthy relationships with a diverse customer base
should continue over the medium term.

 Moderate operating margin:

Operating margin has been moderate in the range of 10-15% over the four
fiscals ended March 31, 2021 (10.8% for fiscal 2021). Profitability is backed by
steady investment in research and development activities, which
support innovative products that in turn fetch higher realisations.

 Comfortable financial risk profile:

Financial risk profile is marked by a healthy net worth of Rs 110.16 crore and
low gearing of 0.47 time as on March 31, 2021. Debt protection metrics were
strong, with interest coverage and net cash accrual to adjusted debt ratios of
5.51 times and 0.41 time, respectively, in fiscal 2021.

 ALP GROUP has large employees’ base

 Successful industrial brand

 Best product for each target segment in sealing category

 In-house product manufacturing.

Weakness

Weaknesses are areas that the company is not doing well in or is performing
more poorly such as lack of investment in new technology or a poorly
performing product. And the weaknesses in ALP NISHIKAWA are as follows: -

 overburden on some employees

 Modest scale of operations:

The ALP group cannot sell its products in the aftermarket (as per its
understanding with Nishikawa); hence, scale and growth prospects may remain
subdued over the medium term. Revenue of Rs 270 crore was reported in fiscal
2021. However, efficient diversification plans and steady addition of clients
may improve sales and aid growth significantly.

 Susceptibility to demand from domestic OEMs:

Auto component manufacturers remain exposed to risk posed by dependence

on select clients or vehicle categories, and demand from OEMs. While there
are large organised and unorganised players present in the market, there are
only a handful of OEMs. Thus, most automotive component players derive bulk
of their revenue from 4-5 major OEMs.

 fewer casual leaves

 strict code of conduct

Opportunities

Opportunities in SWOT analysis are external factors that can help you achieve
your goals. They can be anything from weaknesses that you’d like to improve
or areas that weren’t identified in the first two phases of your analysis 1.

Opportunities of ALP NISHIKAWA are: -

 Increased customer preferences for branded products

 Consumer market expected to grow by 15-20 per cent

 Expansion in other global markets

 Strategic tie-ups with other companies

 Enhancing brand pull (over push)

 Business diversification
Threats

Threats in a SWOT analysis are external factors that may produce a negative
impact on an organization. Businesses often have limited control over such
factors, but they can create systems for managing them, should they arise.
Identifying threats is one part of performing a SWOT analysis, which also
analyses the organization. ALP NISHIKAWA also phases few threats like;

 Government policies dampening industrial sales

 Maximum business coming only from one country

 High trade discounts to dealers by competitors.

A SWOT analysis is a self-assessment technique that businesses use to identify

their strengths, weaknesses, opportunities, and threats 1. Threats in a SWOT
analysis are external factors that may produce a negative impact on an
organization.
