A-GPS Micro Xtreme Tracker
INTRODUCTION
Thank
you
for
purchasing
our
A-‐GPS
Micro
Xtreme
Tracker.
This
is
a
superb
performing
tracker
housed
inside
a
sealed,
waterproof
casing.
The
unit
is
self-‐contained
and
the
GPS
antennas
are
internal
-‐
so
no
messy
wires.
This
retains
the
waterproof
seal
of
the
unit
without
unreliable
rubber
plugs
to
the
seal
of
a
connector.
Tracking
frequency
updates
and
all
other
seDngs
pre-‐configured
to
report
the
trackers
locaFon
once
per
minute
when
moving
and
once
per
hour
when
staFonary.
AddiFonal
changes
suitable
to
your
requirements
are
made
from
the
tracking
console.
The
tracker
is
equipped
with
Assisted
GPS
(A-‐GPS)
which
means
the
tracker
is
capable
of
locking
onto
GPS
satellites
faster
from
a
cold
start
but
generally
performs
at
a
higher
speed
and
accuracy
than
non-‐assisted
GPS
systems.
You
are
supplied
with
the
tracker,
a
mains
charger
and
User
Guide.
CHARGING
THE
TRACKER
Please
charge
the
tracker
for
approx
16
-‐
24
hours
for
its
iniFal
charge.
Any
less
and
you
risk
the
internal
lithium
baQery
from
maximum
performance.
As
there
is
no
external
switches
or
charging
port,
the
method
of
charging
is
quite
ingenious.
Simply
plug
the
supplied
charger
into
a
wall
socket,
then
drop
the
magneFc
ends
of
the
charger
to
each
magnet
on
the
tracker
(the
charger
magnets
will
magnaFse
to
the
tracker
magnets
when
correctly
connected).
Now
switch
the
mains
charger
ON.
During
charging
the
tracker
will
automaFcally
deacFvate.
The
tracker
can
be
leT
indefinitely
connected
to
the
external
charger
with
no
adverse
effect
on
the
internal
lithium
baQery.
A
red
LED
will
illuminate
on
the
mains
charger
whilst
charging.
Once
a
full
charge
has
been
applied
the
mains
charger
will
illuminate
green.
Once
fully
charged,
the
tracker
is
ready
to
go
as
soon
as
it
is
disconnected
from
the
charger.
Please
Note:
Inside
the
screw-‐down
lid
of
the
tracker
(no
need
to
open
now)
is
a
small
black
switch.
This
switch
turns
OFF
/
ON
the
tracker.
When
you
receive
the
tracker
it
is
in
the
ON
posiFon.
There
is
really
no
need
to
use
this
switch
unless
you
intend
storing
the
tracker
away
for
long
periods
otherwise
it
can
remain
ON.
BEFORE
DEPLOYMENT
It
is
advised
to
obtain
GPS
signals
and
see
the
trackers
current
locaFon
on
the
tracking
console
before
you
deploy
the
tracker.
Simply
place
the
tracker
on
a
windowsill
or
take
the
tracker
outside
(magnets
facing
down)
unFl
the
tracker
locks
onto
the
GPS
signals.
Once
the
tracker
has
locked
onto
GPS
signals
you
will
see
the
trackers
current
locaFon
display
on
the
console.
The
current
baQery
level
and
locaFon
will
update
once
GPS
signal’s
are
aQained.
The
baQery
level
indicator
will
always
display
when
the
tracker
last
reported
to
the
console.

within
the
slide-‐out
menu.
Click
this
to
open
a
new
window

shows
a

map.
When
you
have
finished
live

click
the
LIVE
tab
again
to
change
to

before
closing
that

The
unit
also
has
the
ability
to
send
a
GSM
locaFon
if
all
aQempts
to
find
a
GPS
locaFon
fails.
This
locaFon
is
a
triangulaFon
from
GSM
cell
towers,
and
as
such
gives
a
very
approximate
locaFon.
These
locaFons
can
be
seen
by
clicking
the
GSM
tab
located
on
the
leT
hand
side
of
the
tracking
console
to
display
GSM
ON

OFF.
Please Note: Click the tab again to switch from GSM view back to GPS view.
The
other
icons
displayed
on
the
leT
hand
side
of
the
tracking
console
allow
you
to
select
dates
to
view
its
tracking
history,
set
a
geo-‐fence
around
a
specified
area,
and
also
show
a
detailed
breakdown
of
the
street
level
names
(where
applicable).
Please Note: There is an icon to log OFF the tracking console.
Ideally,
the
best
way
to
understand
the
tracker
and
the
tracking
console
is
to
navigate
around
so
you
become
more
familiar.

This
can
be

Other

which
extend
baQery
performance,
include
a
good
GPS
signal,
GSM

weather

and
where
the
tracker
is
placed.
Ideally,
the
best
place
to
deploy
the
tracker
is
inside
the
boot
area,
inside
the
bumper
area,
or
under
the
vehicle
and
as
close

as
possible.

these
areas
