Amabhiza Dance

Amabhiza dance is a tribal dance from the Matabeleland south province of Zimbabwe that originated among the Ndebele people imitating horses. It is danced during rain making ceremonies to appease spirits and ask for rains, and can be played instead of hoso at njelele shrines where people ask for rains.

AMABHIZA DANCE

It is a dance that originated among the Ndebele people imitating the horses.

It is danced during the rain making ceremony when people will be asking for rains as a way of
appeasing the spirits that give us rain.

It can be played in place of hoso.

They play this dance at njelele shrine where they ask for the rains.

Amabhiza is a Kalanga tribal dance found in the Matabeleland south province of Zimbabwe.
