Operations and Technology Management – Class of 2023


The OTM specialization is designed to offer flexibility in coursework selection. There are four informal tracks within OTM:
Health Care Management, Entrepreneurial Management, Technology Product Management, and Production Systems
Management (see end of this document for examples of recommended courses). Special School of Business Certificates in
Sustainability, Entrepreneurship, and Strategic Innovation are also available.

^Waivers for the 1-credit course requirement will be offered if students have 1 year or more of United States work
experience, or are not seeking an internship for approved reasons, such as company-sponsored status, active
military, starting their own business as a founder/owner, or have a medical or family hardship. There may be
other approvals on a case by case basis.

Tracks are informal course plans inside the OTM degree, each requiring a minimum of three courses. Students are
encouraged to choose one of the focused tracks, but may also – in consultation with advisor – pick elective courses across
