    ABSTRACT

    The study is on the influence of modern instructional technology on the academic


    achievement of primary school pupils in pilot science primary school in Abaji FCT Abuja.
    The study targets pupils, teachers and parents of public own primary schools I Abaji
    FCT-Abuja.
    These six schools understudy have been in existence for the last decade. Most these
    schools have been proven over years a high academic excellent
    It was against this backdrop that the study sought to discover the effectiveness of
    modern instructional technology materials on high academic achievement in these
    schools in order to serve as blue print for improving academic achievement in other
    schools in Nigeria. The design for this study was both quantitative and qualitative
    which investigated the dominants factors influencing high academic achievements
    from the perspective of schools (pupils, teachers/instructors and parents) by means of
    self- administered questionnaire, findings reveal that some science schools have
    employed the use of modern instructional technology materials which have
    significantly improve teaching and learning at primary schools level.
    However, the facilities and other infrastructural support are inadequate.
