DESCRIPTION
Insulfrax® S Blankets are lightweight needled blankets manufactured
from Alkaline Earth Silicate (AES) wool to have Low Bio Persistence
(LBP) and provide effective solutions to a variety of thermal management
problems. Insulfrax® S Blankets are completely inorganic and so retain
their strength, flexibility and thermal properties in most working
environments, without generation of smoke or fumes. Insulfrax® S
Blanket meets European regulatory requirement (Directive 97/69/EC).

Available in a range of density and thickness combinations, Insulfrax® S

Blankets can be used in a wide variety of applications and are especially
suited to use as high temperature wraps and heat shields.

GENERAL CHARACTERISTICS
Insulfrax® S Blanket has the following outstanding characteristics :

High temperature stability (up to 1200°C)

 Resistance to thermal shock
 Good handling strength
 Excellent flexibility
 Good sound absorption

TYPICAL APPLICATIONS
