FOLDABLE ELECTRIC GO PED TWO WHEELER
SYNOPSIS
This project- go ped drive is developed to make the automobile a more

environment friendly vehicle, problems of parking. This bike is more useful at the
time of breakdowns, the provisions are made in such a way that the bike can be
smaller in size and an arrangement of a suitcase helps to cover this bike. This
suitcase can be rolled anywhere.
This project-folding electric bike is developed to make the automobile a

more environment friendly vehicle, problems of parking. It consumes less current
consumption when compared to other ordinal electric bikes available in market.
This bike is more useful at the time of breakdowns, the provisions are made in
such a way that the bike can be folded and an arrangement of a suitcase helps to
cover this folded bike. This suitcase can be rolled anywhere.
The go ped drive originally developed for the use in times of breakdowns, traffic
jams etc., and since it is portable it can be carried on top any place. This has vast
applications by superseding the disadvantage of an ordinary bike. An attempt is
made in the design and fabrication of an electrically powered System for a two-
wheeler. This works on electric power distributed by the DC electric motor
receiving the current from a battery. The motor and the various parts such as
clutch assembly and alternator was fabricated with a simple design and with easily
available materials to serve and fulfill the purpose of the project.
INTRODUCTION
SELECTION OF PROJECT:
Maybe the turn of the century ought to be a few years away. But
properties like fast depleting oil resources, ever increasing traffic snags, problems
of parking and the need to make the automobile a more environment friendly
vehicle, designers are back drawing boards, trying to hit upon a novel concept that
will completely alter the conventional design. This prompted us to make a bike
with certain modifications and development.
Hence a need for a change in the existing alternative system which can
produce higher efficiency at minimum cost was though about an attempt has been
made to design and fabricate such an alternative system. So this project
“FOLDABLE ELECTRIC GO PED TWO WHEELER” is very much useful,
since it is provided with good quality of power sources and simple operating
mechanism with different ranges.
GO PED DRIVE:
This is revolutionary and Eco-friendly bike, requiring negligible storing

space. It can be used in conjunction with public transport. E.g. A person
travelling from one part of a city to its suburbs can travel from his home on this
vehicle to the railway station, to the port or to the bus depot, he can simply fold
and put his mobike in the bag, carry it and transport vehicle, reach the destination
port, and zoom off to his destination place. This will not only fully utilize his
mobike’s utility. But also utilize the transport modes available to the public, using
less amount of energy and thus help by reducing the pollution in the atmosphere.
Also the mobike, being a folding one, it is easy to carry in any type of vehicle and
owner need not bother about parking it at the destination place what so ever.
WORKING PRINCIPLE
The experimental setup of our project consists of a two wheeler
setup in which three wheels are mounted. One wheel is fixed at the front
and the other one wheel are fixed at the rear side. The hub motor is
provided to the front wheels of the vehicle setup. The hub motor is
operated by a battery. Also the hinges and the lock nuts are provided such
that the lock nuts can be removed and the entire setup can be folded.
The battery supplies power to the hub motor and the motor is used to
drive the two wheeler. The seating arrangement is fixed to the frame by
means of locking nuts which can be removed. When removed the seating
arrangement can be folded so that the two wheeler becomes compact and
can be carried along. Also the handle bar can be removed by removing the
lock nuts.

LIMITATIONS
 Battery should be charged periodically

 Not fir for long travel
 Not applicable for heavy loads until suitable power supply &
driving unit

 Its very useful for hills areas
