Rwi Recap for past lesson about limits of exponential, logarithmic, and trigonometric function

The teacher will ask a challenging question.

 If the limit DNE (does not exist) are the graph of a function is continuous?
 The students will give their ideas.
The teacher will briefly discuss about.
 Illustrating a continuity of a function at a number.
 Determine whether a function is continuous at a number or not
 Illustrating continuity of a function is a continuous on an interval or not

In every discussion the students are needed to solve an example.

EVALUATION A. Determine whether or not the following are continuous functions.

1. f ( x )=5 x +3
2. f ( x )=−4 x +2
3. f ( x )=2 x 2 + x−3
4. f ( x )=x 2−3 x
B. Determine whether the following functions are continuous on the given interval.
1. f ( x )= √ 4−x2 ;[−2 , 2]
2. f ( x )= √16−x 2 ; [−4 , 4 ]
3. f ( x )= √ x +2 ;[−2 , ∞ ]
4. f ( x )=3 x 2−x +5 ;[−2 , ∞ ]
