    Half Term Activities Countdown to the Cilwendeg Rally


    On Saturday, October 29, TVMC will be welcoming top crews from across Wales to compete in the legendary Rali Cilwendeg. The 75-car event is the longest-running road rally in Wales and celebrated its 50th anniversary last year. Last years winners, Daniel Jones/Graham Dance will lead the field away in car 1, both keen to add a third Cilwendeg victory to their tally. In car 2 will be Meirion Evans/Iwan Jones. Meirions business, Wales Motorsport Fabrication, is the sponsor of this years Cilwendeg Rally once again, and the club is grateful to him for his ongoing support. Meirion has returned to his road rally roots this year and has already won the Welsh Road Rally Championship with one round remaining. In car 3 will be Gethin Morgan/Steve Herbert. After winning the Rali Bro Teifi earlier this year, this crew will be keen to do the double by taking a win on the Cilwendeg. Kevin Davies/Dale Furniss will be in car 4, followed by another Escort crew in car 5, Arwel HughesJones/Dylan John Williams. The first competing car will leave the start venue at Newcastle Emlyn livestock market car park at 11.55pm. If youre panicking about the fast appproach of Christmas there is an early Christmas presents sale with a substantial discount on marked prices on childrens toys. St Dogmaels is an ancient site, of course, and heritage tours are also available during half-term (dependent on numbers, and availability of the heritage officer) to areas of historic interest in and around the village of St Dogmaels with your own personal guide.
