SECTION A
QUESTION 1
ADDENDUM B (attached) shows the front and sectional views of a garden wall and
gate.
The specifications for the different trades are as follows:
EARTHWORKS: - Clean the site 1 500 metres all around the

garden wall.
- Excavation in soft soil
CONCRETE: - 15 MPa
MASONRY: - Ordinary bricks built in stretcher bond

- Face brick on both sides, two courses below
ground level
- 1 : 4 cement mortar
PRECAST CONCRETE: - Coping size 430 × 150 mm
CARPENTRY AND JOINERY: - 76 × 110 mm solid timber doorframe
Measure the works strictly according to the question numbers and measuring lists.
Use dimension paper to answer QUESTIONS 1 to 4.
